Default K-1 event in August

I have now heard this from three different locations so it seems very solid.

It will be a K-1 event (not DREAM or MAX).

I have heard Tokyo/Yokohama and dates of either August 11 or 12 (unofficial public holidays in japan).

Fingers crossed!

^ That rumoured fight has been talked about in the Iggy thread hear too. I have heard of at least two other non-Japanese fighters possibly on the card, and not against each other.

I would love a Remy rematch or Gluabe. If they want to give a new hungry fighter a chance I would love it if the brought in Ghita for him to fight. Hope its true and I am looking forward to it. Another fight I would love to see is a Aerts vs Slowinski.

Zimmerman vs. Slowinsky would be better,
or Zimmerman against any of the top fighters, I like to watch his fights , none of them are boring

Nice, he has quite some potential. Good hands and kicks, good power and speed with both his hands and kicks.

I also remember Catinas from the Lodz GP as well as Olas, these are at least 3 guys from this tournament who can definetely have a nice future in K-1.

Lashenko is dope! (Dope means good or so bad the affects slaughter). I could not believe he fought in a Muay Thai tournament.... and won.... got on a plane to fight in Poland and made it to the finals with Zabit Semedov. It appeared if he would have been fresher for the fight he could have won the tournament.

I would like to see a card in August. They are really spreading these out pretty far.

Sebastian Ciobanu from Romania
Yuto Watanabe is correct. Kyokushin karateka.

"another Japanese fighter" is Kazuo Doi, a former pro-wrestler and now karate black belt from Seido Kaikan.

For a second I thought about Hiroyuki Doi

Many new faces appearing. Is this Kancho's doing or it's just that they are cheaper than the "old guard"?

Im excited to see Ramazan finally enter K-1, hes a very good fighter and there are some awesome potential matches for the future with him.

Also im interested to see Rico Verhoeven fight, ive read about his fights for the last year or so but have yet to see any of them.

And Daniel Ghita is gonna be a threat to the super heavyweights in K-1.

To be honest, I don't even know if I read his first name correctly. Could be pronounced differently. He used a ring name when he was a pro-wrestler, and now he fights under his real name. I just went with the most conservative way to read the kanji.

Kancho has been in Europe for a while, trying to set up a global K-1 association type of thing (for amateurs, I believe). He wants to have the headquarter in either Geneva or Zurich. I don't know how serious he is, but that's what he says he's working on.

And of course, it's safe to say that he is involved in almost every decision FEG makes, especially since he's been out of prison.

Ahh, forget about it, misc I just thought for a second about this guy http://www.k-1.co.jp/jp/fighter/play...ht2=&index=doi but he only has the same surname I would bet. For some reason I just remember him, maybe cause he is from Shootboxing.
