Tito is looking for someone that he feels he might actually be able to beat.

After all, wasn't his last clear win something like 5-freaking-years ago? Even then his whole title defense run was mainly against guys vastly smaller than he was.

I'm sure Tito would love to fight Koscheck. After all, making smaller dudes his victims was Tito's M.O. for years, remember? Except for Vladdy, and Mezger, and Wanderlei, and Belfort, and Forrest the first time around.

Koscheck is still a bigger bitch with the whole tirade at Hardy in November. Well, with most of the times he opens his mouth actually.

I dunno man. I think he was at least the size of Mezger and probably edged Wandy and Belfort. Even if not, he was still closer to their size than 60% of his opponents have been to his size.

True, true. Sinosic, Cote and Tanner were tiny compared to Tito. Even Shamrock the last couple of times looked very outsized.

I think Tito is the most overblown UFC champ ever personally. At least the most overblown champ with multiple defenses.

I dunno, I think that's debatable. I mean, he did beat Wanderlei - who went on to so much success in PRIDE, although personally I would argue he was as overblown as Tito! - and Vladdy who was a horrid match for him stylistically. But then as you say, a lot of his opposition was much smaller (I forgot Kondo too).

I think Tito was a great fighter at his peak and would've done well against larger fighters at the time in the same way he did against the smaller ones. I think the Tito of 2001/2002 would've beaten Randleman and Belfort, for instance. Randy and Chuck were always going to be bad matches for Tito and then after them I think his body was so fucked up from overtraining and injuries that he was never the same.

Are people really that surprised or disgusted by Tito talking shit? I don't really blame him after Coleman's manager called his wife a whore. While it may be true that she's a filthy porn star that doesn't change the fact that she's his wife and the mother of Tito's child. And some have argued that it was Coleman's manager and not Coleman himself but to me if your employee steps way over the line and you don't check him then you are implicitly approving/endorsing the statement.

He talks trash at other fighters, but is offended when somene mentiones Jenna? Yeah, she is his wife, but before that she was a porn star. He should have expected that.

lol, I'm not disagreeing with you or with anyone who's saying Tito should have thicker skin after all the shit he's talked over the years. All I'm saying is that in this particular case I think Tito has every right to want to tear Mark Coleman's head off or at least talk shit to him after a loss. It doesn't matter if his wife really was a whore, he's still gonna get pissed about it. If you have a son or daughter who is ugly as sin or the dumbest person on earth, that doesn't mean you're gonna lie down and take it when someone calls them ugly or retarded. To me it's natural human instinct to go into defensive/protective mode of loved ones.
