It was a great fight. The knockdown in the third was the difference. I thought Pac fought great and his corner did a great job on that cut. JMM also had a great fight and I can see how the one judge saw it for him. I personnaly had it 115-113. Even if Pac lost the last round, which he did on 2 score cards, the deciding judge still had it right. 113-114 means that the fight was even and the KD was the decider. The ropes also saved JMM from another KD. Infact if there was 30 seconds left in that round Pac would have finished it. Great fight and good job by both guys. JMM is obviously upset, but he did a great job of serviving a nasty cut and winning some of the later rounds.
Steven showed great boxing in his fight, but I want to give credit to the Thai fighter. He hits harder then any other Thai boxer I have ever seen and that knockdown he landed was awesome.
Great card, great fights.

The fight definitely lived up to the fight for me. At the sports bar where I watched it there was one particularly vocal JMM fan who was obviously upset with the decision. I think that the decision was fair and it really could've gone either way. It all depends on what you value more. JMM clearly had the edge (again) in ring generalship, precision, and accuracy. Pacquiao clearly did more damage and power with the blows that he landed. In the end I think the judges made the right call but if it had gone the other way I wouldn't have been mad.
I've also read in post fight reports that JMM & Nacho Beristain are going off on how there's a conspiracy against Nacho & the Marquez brothers and how the judging was a disgrace. I understand that their passion must run deep and it must be bitterly disappointing to lose a close decision like that but c'mon. One judge had it for JMM 115-112. Another had the exact same score with 115-112 Pacquiao. And the third and deciding judge had it 114-113 Pacquiao. That'd hardly a blowout or unjust scoring. If JMM didn't suffer the knockdown in the third the 3rd judge would've had it as a draw and the fight would've been ruled a draw AGAIN. That's hardly the bullshit type of judging that you can get from boxing. I hope after they cool down the JMM & Nacho can be a bit more gracious in defeat.

Yeah, that's why I'm not really holding it against them. Nacho was going off though, saying the decision was a disgrace to boxing, etc. etc. Like I said I understand how all that passion and drama could lead to some charged emotions, I just hope they become more gracious after they've had some time to heal the wounds.

Finally had a chance to watch this and it was indeed a great fight. It was close but I think the decision was the right one.
