Dan Rafael from ESPN.com is reporting that discussions are underway regarding the possibility of having Shane and Carlos square off:

I think this would be a great match up and I'd love to see it happen. Mosley clearly showed in his fight with Cotto that he's got plenty left in the tank and Quintana boxed his ass off against Williams and justly won the judge's decision (Harold Lederman must've been watching a fight in a parallel universe). I really didn't know much about Quintana before the Williams fight but after seeing his performance I'm pumped to see him again.

Let's keep our fingers crossed! 2007 was a breakthrough year for boxing and 2008's got some great fights on the horizon. I hope Mosley/Quintana will be one of them.

I wanna see Mosley vs. Judah first before this this fight. Now that would be a war...

It would be a big fight and it just goes to show you what an upset win can do for you. He went from out of the picture to looking at his biggest pay day as a figher.

although that would be an entertaining fight, i think that Mosley would still be able to mug Judah.

I think Judah needs a couple more tune up fights after the beatdown he received from Cotto, and then let him go back to fighting the big dogs.

I think Mosley/Judah would still be entertaining but at Shane's age he won't be able to perform at such a high level for much longer. It's amazing that he can still fight the way that he does at this age. So for that reason I prefer that he fights Quintana first. I'd love to see Shane get another title shot and Quintana definitely deserves a big pay day against a top fighter. It's a win-win situation to me.
