Prior to the Mayweather/Hatton fight a lot of boxing veterans (Foreman, Tyson, etc.) were talking all kinds of shit about Floyd. I think it's pretty clear that they were offended by his "I'm the greatest of all time" hype. I understood where they were coming from but at the same time a lot of their insults were childish and not based on reality or fact. So it's refreshing to see two legends give Floyd his props. DON'T HATE, CONGRATULATE.

Light heavyweight champ Bernard Hopkins, who at one time topped the pound-for-pound list, has given praise to Floyd Mayweather Jr, calling him the best fighter of his era. Before Hopkins lost two consecutive bouts to Jermain Taylor, the boxing world would often debate on the same subject: "Who is the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world, Hopkins or Mayweather?"
In a conversation with the Grand Rapids Press, Hopkins left no doubt as to which of them is the better fighter of their time.
"The best fighter of our era -- my era -- is Pretty Boy Floyd," Hopkins said. "There's no doubt."
