All of the fights already mentioned plus Barerra/Marquez and Calzaghe/Kessler round out the top fights of the year for me. 2007 WAS A GREAT YEAR FOR BOXING. Let's hope it continues into 2008.

No Vargas-Mayorga brawl love?

Hell no. Lol. Despite my initial disinterest I actually got sucked into watching that fight after USTC posted all the pre-fight hype but it was pretty much what I expected. Mayorga swinging hard but inaccurately while Vargas is waddling around the ring trying to catch his breath. I saw no El Feroz that night, only a Marshmellow Man. And I love Vargas too much to enjoy that. Besides, all Mayorga had to do to end the fight was throw ONE uppercut as Vargas was wide open up the middle all night. But does he do it? No. He keeps throwing those wild hooks that even a bloated out of shape Vargas could avoid. Anyways since I've been a fan of Fernando for a long time I don't regret seeing the fight for it's sentimental value since it might have been his last, but was it a good fight? Nah, not to me.

it was a good brawl, but didnt have it as one of the FOTY fights
