Has this been generating any interest in America?

It's a good move on the part of Golden Boy, giving all the UK fans who've arrived a day early something to do on their Friday night. And with John Murray and Meager on the card it's got some quality up and coming UK talent too.

I heard bits and peieces of this Aubtin but had no real details until your post. So thanks.

I do recall the Contender US vs. UK series in which the US got pretty well embarassed. This thing here is almost like Mexico Vs. the UK. Pretty interesting I am assuming this will be broadcast via Setana?

The Brono McKart matches looks like that could be very interesting. He had some momentum prior to Pavlik beating him.

The whole Contender Challenge was a bit of a non-starter here really. The broken down episodes themselves didn't get much exposure on ITV4, which incidently is the same channel that's airing IFL. Also it was held in the same arena that'll be used for UFC 80.

I haven't checked any TV listings but I'm hoping it'll be on Sky as I don't have Setanta. Hopefully it'll make it on to the Hatton build up.

Yeah I must agree the Contender Challenge was not well marketed altogether. Still it was interesting to see how completely and easily the UK Team dismantled the USA team.

Honestly I think SKY does the better broadcasts of the 2 as well. But Setana has apparently been winning the bidding war for some of the broadcasts. It's about equivelant to Showtime and HBO nearly.

Hmm? Unless there have been more than one "Contender UK vs USA", if i recall, the USA won 4 matches while the UK only won 2.

No you are quite correct. I should be more specific with Small and his Yank spanker antics.

Indeed. Their was a bit of bad press afterwards saying that whichever US channel that was covering it matched up the fights so the UK would lose. I would say it was more the case of Warren putting in a couple of good fighters and a few average ones for the UK that did it.
