Sithsanerchai dethrones Eagle!
By Joe Koizumi
Unbeaten Thai southpaw challenger Oleydong Sithsanerchai (25-0, 9 KOs), 105, captured the WBC 105-pound belt as he kept backpedalling and countering onrushing defending champ Eagle Den Junlaphan (18-2, 6 KOs), 104.75, a Japan-based Thailander, to be awarded a close but unanimous decision (115-114, 115-113 and 117-112) over twelve rounds on Thursday in Bangkok, Thailand. (More to come)

The decision was fair IMO even if it was a close one (Eagle taking it by one point wouldn't surprise me, actually it would considering the location :s). Eagle's defense was never all that and his opponent isn't what you can call a power puncher. He was probably going for the KO while not worrying about Oleydoing's punches. Unfortunately the new champ kept countering well and beat him.
