I wasn't sure if I should post it in Boxing or multimedia so I picked multimedia. For those who haven't seen it, I LOVE HBO's pre-fight hype shows. They are second to none.

Couldn't agree with you more. They do the best job of hyping up huge fights and this show is no exception. Billy Graham's comments about Mayweather were cracking me up too.

I only wish MMA pre-fight shows were up to par :(

Very food stuff. I already am cheering for Hatton, and the show only reinforces that. Great way to hype a fight.
Looks like Dan Rafael agrees:

You subscribe to the Insider? I like Dan and think he's head and shoulders above many of the other 'pundits' I just don't want to subscribe to ESPN to read his writing. Shame because he is really among the best for that.

I do that too! Dan is seriously the great bright shining light among a forest of dim bulbs. He has thoughtful analysis always supplemented by facts and fucking archival knowledge of boxing. He also *shock and awe* has good grammar and spelling. I'm tired of reading some bullshitter spew his half-thought verbal diarrhea and call it boxing analysis.
Writing overall for fight-sport is abysmal. Boxing is no exception though I find the worst to be MMA with of course some very excellent exceptions. It seems to me any fucking ape with a keyboard can bang out some shit and expect to be a highly regarded scribe of fighting afterwards. God curse the day blogging took the place of critical thinking and credible reviewing.
They should all be ashamed of themselves. Mostly for 2 reasons: 1 for simultaneously having the audacity to beat their chests like they accomplished a grand achievement of epic sports writing proportions while not having the knowledge or wit to write anything with substance and 2 for foisting their wares on a consuming public as bonafide fight reporting and journalism. Nevermind the multiple spelling and grammatical errors most 5th graders shouldn't be making. I mean for Fuck's sake it's the 21st century. Who at this time doesn't know how to use a spell check? Or is it that they cannot be bothered?
Also they should try knowing what the fuck they are talking about. How many times have you seen misspelled names, wrong dates, and wrong records in these articles? Do you think in football, baseball or shit even NASCAR a journalist is given a free pass to slip on these 'details'? Boxing shouldn't get a free pass either.
Alright enough of that madness. /end rant

I think my favorite boxing writers are Thomas Hauser and Michael Katz. Steve Kim, Doug Fischer, and Dan Rafael are up there too.
Back to the topic of 24/7...WHY DOES HBO KEEP HARASSING SITES INTO TAKING DOWN THE SHOW??? All it does is help hype and promote their ppv card. Ridiculous...

Kim's up there for sure. MAX does a good job in general.
