Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions presents WBC Super Featherweight Champion Juan Manuel Marquez, 47-3, 35 KO’s, as he defends his title from three time championship contender ant Olympic silver medalist Rocky Juarez, 27-3, 19 KO’s, this Saturday at the Desert Diamond Casino in Tucson, Arizona on Showtime Championship Boxing.

Interesting turn events leading up to this fight. First the fight is postponed due to Marquez wrecking his hand. And before this the Marquez family saw JMM's brother getting served against Israel Vasquez.

Rocky an Olympic silver medalist in the past hasn't shown much in the way of mobility and/or ring generalship but he's a hard hitting monster. So long Rocky has his power he's always dangerous for KOs.

I think JJM wins this one in fairly decisive fashion should his hand hold up. At least I hope so because it may set up a long awaited rematch between he and Pacquaio who to my eyes should have lost in their last meeting.

Thoughts?

Should be a good one. Lately JMM has been fight more warrior like and less boxer like. You connect that to the fact that Rocky is a great counter puncher and likes to work inside and you got a fight. Tonight is going to be awesome for me.

JMM has smarts and ring craft that Rocky simply doesn't imo. Rocky is a plodder but a damn hard hitting one at that.

I want Pacman Vs. JMM 2 badly. It could have and should have happened if not for JMM having a pack of retards for management. It may have worked out best for JMM though because if and when it does happen he'll be getting a much bigger purse for it.

It sucks that teh cut ruined this fight. I still think JMM would have won, but Rocky showed alot in continuing. If I were in his corner I would have stoped it in the 9th when they couldn't stop the blood. He is 27 so he will live to fight another day, there was no need to put him out there blind. He needs to go back to 126. He is a featherweight plain and simple.

I missed these fights since I bounced from the sports bar I was at after Calzaghe/Kessler to hit up a friend's house warming party...As far as Pacman's next opponent I'd love to see him rematch JMM but I agree with elgigante, it'd have to be over 130. Did anyone read those rumors that he would fight DLH at 140????? I seriously hope it's just a crazy rumor and that Manny isn't seriously considering it...
