The Kakutougi FirePro League is proud to sanction the first official ULTIMATE CAGE FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIP event.

16 fighters from around the globe are invited to participate in mixed martial arts SUPER FIGHT action inside the world famous DODECAGON®

Each fight will consist of three 5-minute rounds and can end in tapout, referee stoppage, or knockout. If the fighters go the distance a panel of judges appointed by the INTERNET ATHLETIC COMMISSION will render a decision.

Each fighter participating earns points based on their PPV position, with winners doubling their earnings. Knockout/Submission of the night earns a 10 point bonus.

PM me what fighter you would like to participate from your Roster, where about you would like them on the card, and if there are any other fighters you would like them to face, and any conditions you have for the promoter (ie Don't put Sylvia against Rizzo)

It makes little difference in the game though, or so I have picked up on.

I try to match people up by weights and styles that would be exciting.

Chuck is okay with the fight card so far. He thinks a big time fight with Semmy will give the fans a huge thrill, two of the best stand up games on the planet. Chuck has been labeled "K-1 Caliber" as far as a kickboxer by the little funny man in the black shirts for years and now he can finally back it up against the giant champion from that promotion. As far as training goes, he has worked for years with Giant Gan McGee...so the height is not going to be a problem he maintains. Plus Gan has gone to war with his next opponent and let the Iceman in on a few tips. Although Chuck wants to get his hands on the little farmboy...and show the Twin "Rassler" Matty Hughes what he thinks about his tractors....Chuck thinks a country boy CAN'T survive against his great takedown defense and crazy striking skills. Plus all the bible preaching and "clean living" garbage just pi$$es Chuck and THE CHURCH OF XYIENTOLOGY off. Chuck is relaxing now after two hard days of training, and he plans to hit every late night club and strip joint in the area in plenty of time to get his mojo right for Semmy. Yes, and no.

Only 4 fights will be shown on the PPV... all other fights are undercard.

For this premiere event though, I wanted to give EVERY manager a chance to have a fighter on the show.

Later events will have a point prerequisite, whereas only the best fighters will be allowed to enter.

Remember, UCFC is just one promotion and it is their first show. They are learning how to run their business!

Chuck Liddell is ready to make his UCFC debut in the promotion's first mega-event. He is slotted to face Semmy "Hightower" Schilt, a multiple champion in both MMA and K-1 fighting. The man they call the "Iceman" though welcomes the challenge and is confident as always despite giving up a considerable reach and weight advantage to his upcoming opponent. The Iceman believes it is Semmy who should be concerned because this is CAGE fighting, and no man on earth does it better than the former Light Heavyweight Champion, who aims to once again sit on the throne of MMA.

Retired K-1 Hero and UFC veteran Masaaki Satake announced his comeback to the fighting world at a special press conference last monday. When asked what prompted him to give it another shot the fighter replied; "I've had a good carreer in K-1, but I always felt there was more in it for me. Unfortunately, I was never able to put my signature on the big tournaments. Frustrated from that, I tried MMA with not too great results. After a while I figured I was just getting too old to be competitive and decided to hang up the gloves. To be honest, I'm itching to fight again ever since. I think it was more than coincidence when I met an old friend-turned-team-manager who asked me what I thought of the idea of a comeback. Without hesitation I said yes and so in secrecy I joined team K1POWER over 2 months ago to get myself in shape again!"

On the question how he thinks things will be different now, especially since he hasn't fought for over 5 years and having just turned 42, the spirited fighter laughed; "Look, I'm full of experience, I have a great team with great sparring partners and I'm ready to do big things in both K-1 and MMA. I'm 42 now and it's now or never!" Satake signed a contract for a Mixed Martial Arts bout on the upcoming UCFC card against a yet to be named opponent.

Although Takahashi, we may need to grapple on the mat for a few minutes, to give the fans what they want..Battlearts..UWF style, wink wink, if you know what I mean....not saying that it won't be a legitimate fight....but perhaps, no closed fists for the first couple minutes....and high fives after double roll out reversal/escapes and stare downs.

Hughes to fight Kikuta in UCFC

After his fight with Sanae Kikuta was announced by the UCFC, Matt Hughes talked to press about this upcoming fight. He was impressed with opponent he was given, and thanked UCFC for giving him opportunity to fight tough fighter in his debut.

After reporter asked him about his opponent he said that Kikuta is great fighter and that he thinks Kikuta is tough opponent for everyone, and underrated too. In this short report Hughes also talked about his preparations for this fight, saying: "I'm going to train really hard for this match. We have good team here in Hurricane, with great both grappler's and strikers, so I'm definitely going to come best prepared for this match." Hughes was very confident in his win saying: "I don't know how, but I will find some way to beat Kikuta."

In conclusion of report, Hughes used chance to thank his fans for great support he had from them saying they are what keeps him motivated to come stronger every fight, and promised them he will do his best to please them by winning upcoming bout.

Seriously though, Masaaki is really happy to get a chance to fight Mr.Bob Sapp, since Sapp pretty much splashed into the fight world after Satake retired and he always wanted to see how he'd fare against "The Beast". We're looking forward to this confrontation!
