This really is very rare. I have been buying and selling stuff for a long time and I have never actually seen one of these until now, though I did hear about them and heard of one being sold just under $700 about 18 months ago.

It is a limited edition (serial #55) K-1 Vintage lighter made of sterling silver.

It comes in a wooden box, enclosed in another washi box (Japanese thick paper). The wooden box has the kanji for Seido (seidokaikan) on the front and Ishii`s full name.

The lighter itself has this written on the front;

K-1's dream is
to Show Our Children
the Spirit of "Budo"
Our goal is to create a sport where both
the fighters and the fans would find it
inspiring and exciting. It had to become
a major sport that would not be seen
as second class amoung other professional
sport. And it had to be something that
would eventually give our children an
aspiration to marital arts so that it would
become a popular sport at the grass roots level.
Kazuyoshi Ishii

and on the back is several fighters names. The K-1 seal on the plastic wrapper covers most of the names and I am not going to remove it to see what other names are there as it would them become "used" to collectors. those that can be read are....

Andy Hug
Peter Aerts
Ernesto Hoost
Sam Greco
Mike Bernardo
Jean Riviere
Jean Claude
Stefan Leko
James Warring
Rick Roufus

Some that cannot be seen in total are Mirko, and LeBanner.

The original price of this in 1997 was 50000yen, or about US$500.00 as you can see in the third photo.

I am going to put it up here for a limited time as I doubt it will sell anyway, and I am not sure if I want to sell it frankly as I don`t know if I will find another.

NO LONGER FOR SALE.

Some photo`s follow, though it was hard to take them.
