What's your favorite Rocky movie and why?


ROCKY IV because it's just so damn motivational. The training collage when Rocky was in Russia is one of the shining moments of film-making history to me.

II was good.

III was a bit, meh.

IV was pretty ludicrous, though I did cry my eyes out at the cinema when that evil bastard Drago killed Apollo.

V sucked a cock.

VI worked as a nostalgia trip.

I like all Rocky movies, but obviously part V is the least of the series. I voted Rocky I for starting off the series, but actually I like both Part I and VI equally good, because unlike most sequels that come out after a few years I don't think that Rocky 6 is a cheap drag-out the series to make cash production, but rather a cool movie to watch that has that authentic Rocky aura in it...

Thanks a lot everyone for contributing! I haven't seen VI yet but my parents did and they really enjoyed it, and they're not fans of the Rocky series. I'm going to get it on DVD here pretty soon.

ROCKY IV is still the best though. RIP Apollo.

I have the first five Rocky movies on DVD, my favourites would be 1 and 4, haven't seen 6 yet, but will when it comes out here on DVD.

Rocky 4 hands down my fav " YOU SEE HES A MAN NOT A MACHINE!!!" " I See Three Of Him Out there..... Hit The One In The Middle!" Then prob Rocky 1 just a classic movie, Then 6 and 3 are tied for me, 3 was a rebirth learning everything over again"plus it had Thunderlips in it hah" and 6 was a true ending.

I was never into the Rocky movies... all my older cousins love it but they suck so I just never got into it. That and Star Wars, I guess I'm gonna have to check out Rocky.

I saw that fight as well last week and you are right that it takes a lot of shine away from Rocky IV if you picture him as Drago being in that state, lol. Still I think for someone who never was a professional fighter and only trained martial arts to a certain degree he looked pretty "okay" considering he is 47. I just hope K-1 doesn't get wind of it, lol...
