It was on last night for free in Japan during "Golden-time" so it seems a lot of people who normally wouldn't watch it did.
Remember, these are NOT comments from fans of the sport.
from the people I have met so far today the summary seems to be their feelings.
"The GP fights looked like a mix of second rate boxers and blue belt karate fighters"
""Did they even pay Sapp?"
"Who is that fat guy embarrassing Americans by calling himself one that did nothing three rounds?"
"How can the champion be so boring they need to edit his fight, which would still be boring?"
"No wonder K-1 is losing popularity"

Seriously sounds like a lot of the same comments from the serious K-1 fans.

Just had a meeting with two guys that are both convinced the Aerts vs Sapp fight was a work of some sorts, and are pissed Sapp couldn't throw the fight more convincingly

From Bob's side I am sure he wanted out and thought that was the first easy way , those tackles was to get him a red card or something !! Peter will never agree to a work ever , and not infront of his home croud , not in a million years !!!

I don't think Aerts is even capable of working a fight.

Sapp himself didn't say anything about being hit on the liver, but on his lung... (go figure pff).
Either way, it was bullshit anyway

I have been getting a lot more comments the last day or two. The main theme being "They should pay Sapp not to fight rather than the shit they pulled the other night"

I wonder where all the fighters who came on the forums in years past to say, "If Sapp creates more opportunities for me, I support him 100%." Well, boys, did he create more opportunities for you?

In its glory days K-1 relied on consummate fighters with either many dozens of difficult matches under belt, or brilliant technicians behind who trained them diligently even though they were a bit more raw. They invented the story that only technicians would be boring for the public and the 3-round all over system. The result is visible.
On another key, many promotions in Europe became K-1 obsessed or in any event tried to align to this trend. There was no interest in doing a real build-up to the fighters but to make them look well for the "system". Heavies are not easy to find and even harder to rise. Combine this already present difficulty with a rather frivolous atmosphere and the result is obvious.

Bro! Sapp has been getting paid not to fight from the day K-1 signed his 1st contract.
