Allright.
The gauntlet has been tossed.
Give me the ten most impressive K-1 fights in your opinion and break them down and explain them to me.

Dammit, I can throw one-liners while at work, but the ten most impressive and explainations will need to wait at least til I get home.
Hopefully someone else will start before me though (hint hint you lazy bastards :P).
BTW....when you say K-1 do you mean HW alone, or MAX too?

K-1 Hunt vs Sefo - was a classic back and forth slugfest both guys just kept going it was non stop action best fight I have ever seen.
K-1 max Tatsuji vs Hayato pt 2- Both guys gave it there all was non stop action both guys almost put the other away and did not let up great fight.
K-1 Remy vs Sapp- Remy used skill and speed to beat the bigger stronger sapp was a testament to the skill of remy may not be the best example of k-1 but it will appeal to the freak lover out there so its good to throw in with the rest.
K-1 Max – Buakaw vs JWP – Two of the best out there Parr gave Buakaw his best fight in MAX to this day In my own opinion and what a fight it was. Parr landing a few head Turing shots that buakaw just walked threw, and BPP catching and countering better then was previously seen in max this two made a fight that made every on in max take a step back.

Not going to bother with K-1 because a poor K-1 MAX fight shits all over a good K-1 fight. Off the top of my head, some of my favourite fights:
Masato VS Ole Laursen 2007: Not very competitive, but Masato displays the best hands you'll ever see outside of Pro Boxing with some beautiful 15 hit punch combos.
Buakaw Por.Pramuk VS Andy Souwer 2006: Very high stakes fight, was great watching this one without knowing the result and knowing what was on the line. Very dramatic and fitting climax.
Masato VS Andy Souwer 2006: Probably my all time favorite... the two most well rounded guys in the entire sport throwing absolutely everything at each other. Round 3 is absolutely unreal, Andy shows just how good his stamina is and Masato shows just how big his heart is. Bullshit knockdown aside, an absolutely phenomenal fight.
Andy Souwer VS Virgil Kalakoda 2006: Brilliant see-saw battle with unbelievable hand combos being thrown back and forth between two of the top guns.
Masato VS Remigijus Morkevicius: Non-stop action, Remigijus forces Masato to turn on the heat and pays the price in the end.
Masato VS Mike Zambidis 2005: Pure brilliance on Masato's part. Breaks his foot/ankle in the first round and still proceeds to dominate Zambidis.
Masato VS Albert Kraus 2004: Non-stop competitive action, both fighters giving everything.
Masato VS Albert Kraus 2003: High stakes fight between two bitter rivals. Non stop action, incredible climax.

JLB vs. Hunto - Paris 02
Great slugfest... they had some good fights but IMO this was their best. Both landed bombs, both went down and to my knowledge is the only time Hunto's been stopped in K-1.
Mike Zambidis vs. Masato in 2003
That was a pretty good fight, Masato got hit w/ some really hard shots, I never realized how solid Masato's chin was until I saw this fight... I was also surprised by how little damage Masato took to his face despite getting tagged a few times.
I might add a few more but I have to rewatch some K-1 Max, I haven't been keeping up w/ K-1 lately.

Here are some of my personal favorites.
1.Hoost vs Jbl 99: Another great fight that Hoost was loosing but turns around and wins it.
2.Andy Hug vs. Hoost 1997: two legends go at it.
3.Cyril Abidi and lebanner: because it showed the dominance of JLB
4.Sefo vs. Mark Hunt: Showboating and the iron chin of Mark
5.Bob Sapp vs. Hoost: Upset
6.Andy Hug vs Cro Cop: Massive axe kicks that fight. That is my favorite kick.
7.Peter Aerts vs. Stefan Leko: The knockout was brutal
8.Cro Cop vs. Hoost 99: Great fight, that Hoost turns around
9.Sam Greco vs. Cro Cop: Awesome second round
10.Biggest bust fight ever is Ray Mercer vs. Remy Bonjasky: If you don’t know why look it up and watch it! lol

In no particular order, and I`ll keep away from some of the more obvious ones and try to stick with ones that were cool as much for the fighting as something that surrounded the fight.
Jean Claude Leuyer vs Ray Sefo – Two dear friends fighting for a title neither of them wanted to fight the other for, but both new to K-1 so they had to do what they had to do. It was pure violence. Both landed some huge shots, and Jean showed he could take one hell of a punch. A full 7 round war.
Andy Hug vs Mike Bernardo 2 – Bernardo made a huge splash coming into K-1 and knocking out Hug in their first fight. It was the fight to turn his life around. I don’t think anyone expected the result and I think both K-1 and Andy wanted to “set it straight”. It looked like it might happen when Andy gave Mike a knockdown and an 8 count, but Mike was far from done. He came back to quite literally beat Andy to within and inch of his life. Still today one of the latest stoppages I have seen in K-1.
Sam Greco vs Branko Cikatic – In his last five fights Greco had one win, two draws a loss and a NC. He needed a win badly. But, he was facing the roughest son-of-a-bitch in K-1 in Branko, and in Branko’s last two fights he had KO’d both Musashi and the great Ernesto Hoost. On top of that, Branko had not been KO`d in K-1 or every really even badly hurt. The fight starts off slowly, and then Sam loads up and lets fly. Branko hits the mat and EVERYONE is in shock. He gets to his feet and the “Hurricane” is all over him. It stands as one of the most brutal KO’s ever but the man most thought was going to lose.
Peter Aerts vs Mike Bernardo 2 – Peter was on a 13 fight winning streak and was KO’ing people left and right. In their first fight Bernardo went down and out in just 40 seconds (which was also my first ever live K-1 show). This fight happened 6 months later in the opening round of the GP and both were fired up. Aerts had never even really smelt the canvas in K-1 before this, and while Bernardo was confident no one really thought he would stop the Dutch Lumberjack. Aerts was just SO strong. But he got stopped. He ran right into a brick wall. This set up perhaps the Japanese fans favorite ever rivalry in K-1’s history…..and it left three big “L”’s in a row on Aerts record.
Jan Nortje vs Mike Bernardo – These two were team mates both under Steve Kalakoda. The relationship between Mike and Steve went sour and harsh words were exchanged. In the end, after a long time of back and forth comments, it was to be settled in the ring. Mike was by far the most accomplished of the two and few if any gave Jan a whole lot of a chance. In the opening round though Jan had Mike on the mat three times…..the final time in tears. It was very emotional indeed, with Steve and Mike hugging in the ring and Steve offering his friendship again. I remember doing the pbp for this at sherdog and I believe one of the mods here was in tears.
Peter Graham vs Badr Hari – Badr spent the days leading up to this fight telling everyone how he was pissed at being put into a GP that was of such low standard. It was an insult to his ability as a fighter, and that Graham was a never-was waste of time to him. During the press conference he even threw some punches at Graham and tried to start it threre. There fight was tough for both…and ended in about the most spectacular KO anyone could imagine. The man suffering from verbal diarrhea before the fight was taken away in an ambulance hooked up to a breathing machine and had his jaw wired shut for several months.
Ray Sefo vs Mark Hunt – This is so famous it really needs no explanation. Mark was new to K-1 and he was pitted against fellow Oceanian and at that stage the more experienced Sefo. Already a crowd favorite, Hunt later said he looked up to Sefo and wanted to prove he was also a tough guy and gain his respect. That he did. The fight is hard to do justice to with words alone. It must be seen. In the end Sefo won the fight, though had to drop out of the tournament due to a damaged eye/cheekbone and Hunt went on in his place, and then went on to win the GP that year knocking out LeBanner in the process.
Cyril Abidi vs Jerome LeBanner – There was serious hate between these guys at the time. I hesitate to even talk about it because people still get heated over what happened. Suffice to say, they both felt betrayed by the other and evidentially mixed it up in a gym without cameras there. Cyril supposedly won that, but it set up this fight which he did not. I think they both earnt the crowds and each others respect in the ring though.
Ruslan Karaev vs Badr Hari 2 - This was a rematch from the Elims in which the ending was supposedly controversial. It really wasn’t but it was blown up into a grudge match and boy they delivered. Ruslan was actually very sick before the fight so went for broke from the start. Hari obliged and matched the pace. In the second round Ruslan landed a combination that put Hari down and he looked hurt as he got back up. Ruslan ran in to finish him and got l;aid out but the perfect counter shot.
Jerome LeBanner vs Ray Sefo – LeBanner was coming of the destruction of Hoost and a draw with Greco and K-1 wanted to give him a win. Sefo was the sklinny new kid on the block and was seen as a nice stepping stone because even though he was 1-1 in K-1, he still put up a good fight against Hoost when he lost. During the fight Sefo dropped his hands and got caught and hit the mat. He got an 8 count and LeBanner came in for him in kill-mode. The boomerang hook got its name here in japan and Sefo timed it to perfection. LeBanner folded in on himself and was asleep…reportedly with a broken jaw.
Peter Aerts vs Jerome LeBanner 3 – Peter had KO’d LeBanner in their two prior fights, and he landed the highkick and knocked him down here in the opening minutes. Everyone thought leBanner was standing up just to be finished off when something switched in him and he KO’s Aerts with a left hook that leaves Aerts on the mat looking brain damaged.
Mike Bernardo vs Jerome LeBanner – They were both on 5 fight winning streaks here and they were the two knocking everyone out. It was a slow round until Bernardo landed a shot and flurried like his life depended on it. The crowed went absolutely fucking crazy and the bell rang signaling the end of the round….but no one heard it and Mike kept throwing until Lebanner was KO’d hard. The next day it was changed to a NC, but I still don’t ever remember hearing the crowd like that.

Mike Zambidis vs Albert Kraus - For anyone in Australia the arrival of Zambo in MAX was bittersweet. Everyone was happy he was there, but he earnt his spot with a very sus JD against JWP and got to face Kraus, the reining champion….the champion that had knocked Masato on his butt in one fight and taken him to a five round draw in another. Zambo ruined his day big time.
Andy Souwer vs Virgil Kalakoda – Virgil got an invite into the GP after management thought he was hard done by in his qualifying fight against Buakaw after scoring a draw and then a split JD loss in the extra round. He turned up ready for business, as did Andy. Very exciting fight, with neither leaving anything to be said at the end. They both hit the mat.
Takayuki Kohiruimaki vs Buakaw Por. Pramuk – After Kohi hugged his way to a JD win in the first round of the GP he had to face Buakaw, and Buakaw wasted no time in teaching him a lesson in how Mauy Thai really use the clinch game.
Takeda Kozo vs Masato – This was the first real fight in MAX that I saw some major promotion for in the weeks leading up to it. There were mini documentaries on Kozo and how he had moved out to a tiny appartment to train more without distraction, and how he was boiling his chicken and other meats and using not sauces or anything to keep as much of his 70kg of pure muscle as he could. This was the final fight in the GP and while Kozo was tough, he had some serious competition early and had accumulated a lot of damage which came back to hurt later on.
Buakaw Por. Pramuk vs Takeda Kozo - About as old-school as MAX will allow a fight to ever be.
Mike Zambidis vs KID Yamamoto – the two undersized boys with Tyson-like hands throwing down at last. KID does very well early on though you can see Zambo slowly mixing up things. KID makes the mistake of throwing the same punch twice and meets the fairies for it.
Buakaw Por. Pramuk vs JWP – The first fight in what was to become perhaps the most historic MAX GP ever started as a very rough on for the future repeat champion. Talk about a close fight. After three it was even and after the extension round it was still a split JD. That was as close as anyone has gotten to beating Buakaw while fighting with a similar set of tools.
KID Yamamoto vs Masato – KID, the noob to MAX decided to call out Masato for a Dynamite fight under Masato’s rules. Masato had no chance but to accept, but I doubt he thought KID would take off to Thailand to prepare for this. And prepare well he did. Great fight…both landing big…some lowblows and screams from both their girlfriends/sisters/wives in the crowd.
Andy Souwer vs Masato – Both had tough fights before this, though I think Souwer was the more fired up. He was relentless with his lowkicks and both guys just never stopped throwing punches. Andy was edging it towards the end but many watching where thinking “home town JD” when Masato hits the mat and it is called a down.
Remigijus Morkevicius vs Shingo Garyu – The pocket-rocket strikes :-)

One name - Jerome Le Banner
He had some great, dramatic, shocking and entertaining bouts. To name a few:
JLB vs Hunt Paris 2002
JLB vs Aerts 1999
JLB vs Greco 1998
JLB vs Hunt Finals 2002
Actually there are plenty of great fights. Sefo vs Bernardo was fantastic as well. Personally I liked Greco his aggressive style very much, he had some entertaining bouts. Hoost vs Cikatic 1 + 2, Sapp vs Hoost 1 + 2 , Aerts vs Bernardo series, …

K-1
1. First and for most we have to mention any fight that invovles LeBanner and Hunt is an instant classic. In all of there wars they went toe to toe and acted as if they could only win by KO. The second fight in Paris had the greatest round in K-1 history. In the second round Lebaner would begin the fight by scoring a KD against Hunt, then Hunt would get up and return the favor. This would be followed up by Lebanner scoring another down right at the end of the round. It was one of the best fights I have ever seen.
2. Hari has been specacular since entering K-1. he either wins big are loses big and none greater then the battle with him and Graham. People have posted this one before I am just co-signing to what they are saying. The fight is ligit.
3. Hari vs Ruslan 2. Again other people have said this and again I am strongly agreeing.
4. Cyril Abidi vs Jerome Lebanner. The only thing wrong with this classic fight is the KO call at the end of the final round. Other then that ref flaw this was a war and a classic.
5. Hunt vs Sefo. You would think that these guys either have brain damage or they are going to get brain damage after ths fight.
6. Remy vs Botha 2. If ever there be a technique that saved a fight this fight has it. I would ruin it to go into details but this fight was one way traffic until something came out of no wear.
7. Leko vs Aerts in Vegas. One of the great K-1 fights of all time, and it ends in a classic finish.
8. Iggy vs Pettes. Again one of those one sided fights that are changed in an instant.
9. Sefo vs Tomihira. To some this is one sided, but to me Tomi showed what K-1 heart is about in this one.
10. Hoost vs Bernardo (1 I think) This fight has the best KO in K-1 history. Another one of those fights when a guy gets off the mat and gets the KO.
