He'd have a better chance at winning those anyway, their talent level usually isn't as high as the Euro GP's.

Man, I'm just so fascinated with Sapp having been offered the Aerts fight...I just can't even begin to guess if he's gonna sign on or not (I know there's another forum for this, so I'll stop now).

Bjorn Bregy is back?! The last time I saw him is when he got KO'd by Carter Williams. I wonder if his man boobs have been fixed?

I didn't know Semmy vs. Mo was a title fight, seems like they will be defending their belts quite often.

You are kidding again, aren't you? Bjorn has been on a roll since his loss to Carter.

Well he won this tournament last year, so it is no surprise that he is in the field. Plus since that lost to Carter I think he has only lost to Schilt while beating Majer, Ignashov(though by injury), Saki, Iron leg, and Turner, so he is probably in his prime after being years removed from that loss.
Iggy not being in the field sucks, but I would be extatic if he was in the Asia GP. They are moving Saw along perfectly this is another good match for him. I hope Slowinski takes the tourny now that there is no Saki or Cyril.

That tournament is fucked up. I mean come on; 1 match Breggy vs Wallis. Those are the two favourites to win the tournament. Breggy won it last year, Wallis just won Romania!
I think Magomedov and Samedov are too small to have a signicifant role in K-1.

this card is much tooo good. There are to many skilled fighter in 1 tournament. I'd love to see Maga, Samedov, Slowinski, Bregy and Wallis in the Elims.

You serious?? I think it's a great tournament. Breggy vs Wallis the two favorites? How about Slowinski? BTW I think Magomedov will be a big surprise! Nice to see Amada on the card! Sucks that Iggy is out, but it's a great card overall. Also good that Sawayashiki gets another build-up fight, although the French fighter might be good I just don't know anything about him. Also cool that Hiroya is on the card!
BTW I saw this card already last night on the official K-1 site, but I thought that it was still in concept or something...

I meant it in the sense blindo said. Breggy, Wallis and Slowinski are the strongest fighters if you ask me. That's why I don't like that they match those two giants in the first round. Especially Wallis seems to be very talented, but he still has plenty of room to improve technically.
Wallis needs a big name like Amada or something. Tournament should be good, I just don't like that particular match as a quarter of the tournament that gives you a spot in the elimi. On the other hand Wallis is still pretty young and he should have enough chances in the future ...

its a good thing that these 2 giants are mixed in the first fight ,
I dont like both of them.
I hope Magamedov will do good enough to win the tourney and I believe that he can do it if he can win the semi against one of the giants
by the way hope Iggy is preparing himself for Vegas

I see a Magomedov-Slowinski final. I wonder how Mag will deal with Slowinski's mule kicks at that point in the tournament. If Paul fights meat n potatoes and chops away I cant see Mag standing for two long...

Has Amada no love for his legs at all? :) I thought he should take a while to heal that knee injury, fighting Paul sure is a bad way of keeping those ligaments healthy.
Yes having a Slowisnky - Magomedov final would be my favourite choice also, I wonder how the little MT fighter would do agaisnt one of those two giants before the final though (that can both actually fight) - a guy can't help it but doubt Magomedov's chances every time, even though he has done nothing but fantastic feats ever since he decided to fight in the heavies division (the Leko or the Koaklai fight were simply amazing, to name a couple). I'm hoping he'll prove his worth once again.

Best tournament of the year! I want to go to Holland!!!
But damnit, one fighter I really like will have to lose in the tournament :(
And Amada has the worst matchup of his life. Made even worse because he fought Saki last time.

A great tournament, but I agree with sparkles - they made poor matches, putting Wallis and Bregy together - they are the favourites. I think the one who win this fight will get the trophy. And Slowinsky will be the finalist. Amada doesn't count, andthe other guys are great fighters, but unfortunatelly too small.
My guess is that Brecht will take the tournament and qualify for Final Elimination.

K-1 doesn't seem to have any mercy indeed. Maybe it's the japanese harakiri spirit, but after the damage Amada took from Saki on his leg they put him in another powerfull kicker, Slowinski. Amada deserves better, I've always like him and he performs well as long as they don't match him with a kicker.
Remember he went the full distance with the more boxing orientated Sefo.

I'm not sure if it's a case of K-1/FEG having no mercy, so much as it is them not having a good understanding of their fighters...I would guess that they think Amada really has a chance as a 'name' fighter, up against these other 'no name' competitors. I'd hazzard a guess too K-1/FEG didn't know they were throwing Amada to the dogs when they put him against Saki, the same way they think Amada will beat Slowinski's legs with his hands...

I think Magomedov can win the tournament...I like him very much. Aerts will kill Sapp, Karaev and Schilt will win easily. Junichi will probably win too.

It's quite usual that a japanese fighter (or 2) to be in a GP - the same was in Hawaii. And unfortunatelly, Japan doesn't have better fighters than Amada.
I disagree nimeni, I don't think Magomedov can win the tournament. He has great skills, but is way too light for the big guys (like Bregy, Wallis or Slowinsky). Plus, he doesn't have much experience

Yeah, Bregy is the big favuorite(I think), but I'd like Magomedov to win.

I see Bregy vs Slowinski in the finals, with Bregy coming out the winner. Schilt and Karaev will win their fights. I've never heard of some of the other guys, and waiting to see who Aerts faces.

If this doesn`t rate, K-1 doesn`t pay fighters. There was always going to be a token japanese guy in there....there pretty much has to be.

Solid card top to bottom. I can't believe that I can finally say that both Mes and Panjonsuk are in the Max. Might be one and done, but if they are both officially at 70kgs that means they were in.

What has happened to the Bouzidi-Saki fight btw?
I read that there are many Dutch possible candidates to fight Hiroya at that weight but k-1 probably doesn't want to risk him too much...

Hiroya is a 15 yr old who weighs 60 kilo's so it won't be normal k-1 nor will it be k-1 max as they will have to look for an opponent who at least weighs the same as he does and is not a hell of a lot better...

You won't believe it, but most members on Dutch forums even say that the card "isn't that special" and "not Amsterdam ArenA worthy"... Although most great fighters come from Holland, unfortunately some of the biggest idiots reside here as well...

The only problem I see with it is that it is not quite as good as the rumored card......but it is still very solid.
