Especially the look on his cornermans? face at the bottom right corner.

I'm pretty satisfied whith pretty much all the results in this card for a change.

With Kawamura, Arai and Oishi all on the losing end, it was a disastrous Pancrase event for the Pancrase gym. And I read that all of those matches suffered the way-too-late stoppage by the ref. They were all seriously fucked up.

Good revenge by CBA against Kawamura. He always produces an "exciting" live-or-die match, but the star-making process of him by Pancrase is a little set back now.

Kawamura is exciting and I'm sure he'll produce alot of good fights in the future for Pancrase, but I just don't think he has any "it" factor that could make him a real star. Outside of a few fighters I think Pancrase seriously lacks fighters that could mantle the role of the old guard who's mostly all of them on the way down. And I still can't belive Nakanishi is a champ.

Hi,

Did you heard any rumors of Daniel Tabera fighting at Pancrase? The rumors here in my country is that he will take either Kawamura or Kondo... but you know his manager is not a legit source by any means...

Kondo will fight in Bodog for the middle weight title against Trevor Prangley in July.

Is Tabera the one who won the MW GP in MARS last year, right? I personally suspect Tabera will fight in Pancase, or Bodog in the near future. He's already earned the right to fight in a bigger organization.

Yes he won the MARS MW GP and we suspect that he is going to fight in July's card too.

Not the most technical fighter but a brave one, not very loved here lol.

Krikit, thx for the results.
Did you see, Brian Rafiq's fight recently in Pancrace? If yes, what did u think of him? Its pretty hard to evaluate coz his opponant was a tricky+experienced japanese fighter (40 pro fights) while it was Rafiq's 6th fight.
He did beat the ranked 2 guy, he will face the ranked 1 soon for a title shot!

I think Tabera beat him in the MARS MW GP final. Tabera > Rafiq :)

Anyway, you are absolutely right, it's hard to assess Rafiq's talent just from the fight against Hikaru Sato, although he pretty much dominated in that match. And yes, Hikaru is a tricky dude. He is an all-you-need-is-balls type of fighter who seems to have little talent but gets it done, sometimes.

Pancrase has been struggling. Finance-wise, they lost a sponsor and fell out with a TV producer, and now Bodog is backing them. You might as well call it Bodog Japan. But nobody knows for how long they will continue the sponsorship/"alliance".

Talent-wise, like krikit said, Nakanishi being the MW champ is a bit of a joke. That division seriously lacks talents now, and that's why someone like Hikaru is ranked that high. I wouldn't be surprised if Rafiq walks through that division, and that still won't say a lot about Rafiq, unfortunately.

WW is still fine, but kainer's man Dan Hardy just beat the crap out of the WW champ in Cage Force. Ouch.

There are a few good fighters in LW, but overall, the division looks pale in comparison to Shooto IMO.

HW is inactive, to say the least. In LHW, Kondo has been absent for so long that Kawamura had to play the main event role. Nonetheless, this is still the money-making division at Pancrase.

OK, this post has deviated from your question, but this is my personal overview on Pancrase now.
