The rising interest in mixed martial arts is tied to Ultimate Fighting, which changed its ways to gain acceptance. Now its success is changing the sports landscape .

Nice, UFC gets a SI and ESPN the magazine cover in a relatively short timespan...

Glad to see SI put one of their top writers on it, unlike ESPN.

Now I bet every bugger gets on the Huerta bandwagon. Thanks mostly to Lord Gaul, I've been on it since before his UFC debut.

That awesome fight with Leonard Garcia helped though, lol.

You're not the only one! Was the Wiman fight the thing that got you aboard?

No. Lord Gaul just completely convinced me. And he was right. I love watching Huerta fight.

Just read the piece. Very good, and it showed MMA in a very positive light. Nice.

My college is on a row now. We got Marcus Lavesser in SI after he finished his wrestling career as only the second guy in wrestling history to finish his career unbeaten at 155-0. And now my other good friend and the first person I meet at the college is on the cover of SI. My boy Roger is on his way.
