Feitosa, Leko, Arrab, Bonjasky are all better fighters under 100kg

Feitosa and Bonjasky under 100kg?
I thought they were around 106-108kg?
Do you think that they will do the effort to cut weight??????

They may want to do the effort if they get pounded by Schilt a few more times...

I hope Ruslan against.... well don't really care if it'll be Musashi or Fuji as long as they'll show a fight worthy of a title.

I think for almost 95 % Badr Hari and Musashi will fight each other for this belt. And 90 % that Badr will be the HW champ.

Well if Badr fights like last time against Ruslan, Im 100% sure that he wont be the HW champ.

No, but it was hardly a fight... some freak accident happend. The way Badr fights at this moment ( much more controlled) Ruslan stands no chance.

Badr will go down after a simple punch of Ruslan...thats for sure...and Ruslan is a man who pressures a fighter and simply will go through Badrs defense and will knock him the f*** out.

I wonder how Hoost feels about all this

I expect Hari to win this title. He has improved every fight since the Ruslan thing and I think he will be ready to defeat this small field. I will call and upset and pick Fuji over Musashi, which to me really isn't that much of an upset.

I wonder how Hoost feels about all this
I think he will be happy that his records will stand the test of time.
In time, World Champs will not bother going the Grand Prix. Let's face it. The tournament is a hellish experience. To become champ without having to endure it is what all the best fighters dream about. It is what they pray for when the kneel beside their beds every night.

lol CKO.
Yeah at the moment its hard to get excited about this Title fight. Winning a tournament seems so much more prestigeous at this stage. But maybe after a while the Title will be more respected and we can see some old school rivalries being established.

When they blow out their candles on their birthdays the wish for a championship where they don't have to fight Jerome, Hoost and Aerts in the same night. Semmy on the other hand doesn't care.

I have to respect your resilliancy CKO, you really do hate this idea.

There are many meaningless belts in all corners of boxing and kickboxing.
Every fighter in K-1 has a few. Everyone still knows that K-1 is all about winning the GP. Arbitrarily picking a few guys to contend for a brand new title is a pretty transparent device to give Musashi a chance to win something.

On Thanksgiving Day, they pray for the bigger half of the turkey wishbone so they can wish for a title without a tournament!

PRIDE's deal is not too confusing, and all champs pretty much must participate in the GP's there.....

You might want to watch some of his fights.....

What I wanted to say is, Ruslan will get a lucky shot, while he is pressuring him....and will KTFO him or he will get him self KO'd just as usual

I don't see the same balance of power in the K-1. Guys like LeBanner and Sefo say "Not this year" to the Grand Prix because of injuries, illness and film schedules (you name it) and the K-1 begs them to show up.
If Jerome already thinks he is the champ, he is going to go mountain climbing without a cell phone to get away from his agent and the K-1. It won't work though, the K-1 will have a rep scaling the same mountain in hot pursuit.
K-1: You have to enter the tournament ... or else.
Jerome: Or else what?

Rus has the Gary Goodridge approach. Its very entertaining but bad for his or his opponents health.
Ruslan vs Gary Goodridge would be a 1R KTFO to whoever lands the blow first.

I bet they'll do everything they can to make Musashi have this belt, year after year, until he gets it.
So I hope he'll have it this year so it's done.

I don't agree with u guys who see it that way. It's quite possible (very possible) that Musashi will never win that belt, same way JLB might never win the GP belt. But in essence you're correct though: they're giving him a chance to win something. But he won't.

Hmm, don't be so sure about it.
Musashi may not be the best, but he has heart and if he can stay alive after 13 rounds like in the WGP final in 2004, he won't be KOed easily in a single Superfight, specially against fighters of the same weight.
I think that with "a little help" he might get the decisions.
Talking about Musashi, the japanese press told Cyril that Mitsugu Noda, his next oponent, was "the japanese rising star" and "the successor to Mussashi".
That might mean Musashi have only few more years to get a belt. So I'll root for him, just this time : )

I don`t think this whole "musashi" angle is anything but an added bonus for the reasons why these belts were introduced.
