Interesting match-up if it comes off. Making weight and training time could be major issues here. I've never seen Yokoi in great cosmetic condition aas he always seem to carry some fat with him. Another problem might be what's happening with Zero One MAX, Yokoi's main employers. Whether they'll want him pro wrestling (they're struggling right now) or they do the smart thing and give him plenty of time and space to train in the hope he pulls off an impressive performance with Silva, that will up his, and the promotion's profile. Well, they never capitalised on his fight with Noguiera so I'm not that confident they'll do the right thing this time around.

I thought Yokoi had potential, but I don't think he cares enough about MMA to be anything more than a solid competitor. I like puro too so it's cool but he's going to need more focus to rise out of that low a/high b fighter class.

yokoi did well against Nog. better than anyone had concieved im pretty sure. for once Silva would be fighting somebody that is cutting weight to actually fight as a mw. what im getting at is somebody closer to his size. usually the japanese fighters they throw at him have skill, but their like 10-20 lbs lighter usually. that wont be the case this time, and ive seen potential in Yokoi. it could end up being a great match, IF Yokoi's people play their cards right.

I think yokoi could defeat Silva or at least give him a very tough fight. Hes a tough guy.

On paper this might not look like much, but I would think this would be pretty competative actually. Yokoi did a reasonable job aganst Nog, didn't get hurt against a K-1 level striker in Venitian(sp?) and Silva isn't anywhere near as big as Herring.

This could be a very exciting fight.

I think Ykoi will easily make the good weight! In normal life Wand is probably hevier than Yokoi! Like u all know Yokoi is a small HW.. He isnt powerful but he has no fear, he's aggressive and his judo make him like a very experience guy at the ground!
btw : Wand will eat him! No way that Yokoi could stop Wand ....(maybe a lucky sub, but nothing else)
