This Super-Heavyweight belt stands loose from the K-1 WGP belt, right..?

totally seperate....and the holder of it gets an auto-spot in the Elims if he isn`t already part of the Best 8.

Sounds pretty cool, all the changes take some time for me to get accustomed to because except for some minor rule changes every year there never where changes of this dimension, which is great, but it's a bit confusing at the beginning.

Sounds good to me. I see this as giving K-1 a recognizable champion like they have in all the other fighting factions.

Damn I thought Akebono vs Butterbean should be for the Super heavyweight title. Besides Sefo isn't even that big if there is a any weightlimit.

If Sefo doesn't defeat Schilt he can cut some weight and fight for the LHW belt. I want to see him wear a belt before he retires :)

But If Sem wins the fight, according to the new elimination rules, Sem is already qualified for the Final Eliminations. If he wins this fight, will he be qualified 2 times then? Im confused:D

I think there'll be 1 more wildcard then..?

I don't like the idea it reminds me of how Sherdoggers bitch about not being able to tell the difference between a Grand Prix belt and a weightclass belt. Though the fact that they are recognizing the huge weight gaps in K-1 is refreshing.

damn, how many time a year the champ will have to fight for defending his title?

Nothing wrong with experimenting. Hopefully more weight classes will follow, K-1 can be for fighters of all sizes someday.

Schilt vs. Sefo is also for the CKO #1 rank. If Schilt wins, he will hold the WGP, the one-off title and the CKO #1.

The interesting thing will be how fans respond to, say, Sefo (if he wins) losing a fight in the Grand Prix and holding his title. For 6 years now, one of the most common criticisms to the CKO rankings has been the Fresh Fighter clause that disallows any semi or final bout results in the rankings.

Yes

I'm actually against more than 2 weight classes. K-1 has a bad enough time filling out no weight classes with such a shallow talent pool. Sure if they actually develop/sign/attract enough talanted guys then create them.

But think of it this way they dont need to bring in more crappy talent there are stars out there at these weights that could not fight before to big or small for them guys like Cesar Cordoba and Carnage now have a chance to get in there.

and not all fights will only be hw or MAX so they dont need as many of each so they drop a few of the worse fighters since they dont need as many fighters since MOST LIKLY they wont have as many of that devisions fights.

Isn't this a dumb move? I mean Schilt aready holds the 2006 K-1 belt and now they 'already' give him the chance to capture another belt and hold it probably a long time. Schilt Schil Schilt.
They could have given this the winner of another fight. Ray getting his chance to capture a K-1 belt is good, but what if Schilt wins it. He's the man to beat right now.

The man to beat SHOULD be the man with the belt, therefore it sort of makes sense to me that they'd let Semmy have first crack at it. If Ray beats him then he has beaten the best man out there at the moment and deserves the belt... if Semmy wins then he proves once again he is the top dog and if you want this title, you will have to take it from the best.

2 ways:
1. they make the belts (-100 and +100) second choice championship for the guys who deserve, but never managed (Ray vs JLB etc.)
2. they want the belts to be fought for by really the best fighters out there (Schilt vs Ray seems to be this option, could be also Schilt vs Aerts.
