Finally Pitchkunov goes a bit more mainstream. I hope he impresses. Would love a showdown between him and Glaube in the near future.

Not a chance in hell.....they are both in Ichigeki and have the same trainers.

Samedov is an up & coming talent, but I really hope Nakasako will take this one. Every event he seems more and more unmotivated to be there. At least his expressions give me that impression.
A win against a talented fighter could put him on a roll.

Hori vs Pitchkunov is a bit hard to call. Two tall fighters with mediocre skills, but a lot of heart. As long as they'll come in hard I will be satisfied.

Correct me if I am wrong, but Pitchounov is the guy who fought Pat Barry twice correct? A draw ine the first and a split to Pit in the second.

Didn't Barry win the second fight?

Nope, he lost in the preliminary in Vegas. Barry won the second fight with Lighty, his other K-1 loss.

Well.. still I don't see Pitchkunov as "good" yet.. at least not under K-1 rules. No disrespect to Barry, but if Glaube fought him he'd killed him in half a round and Barry took Pitchkunov to a split decision so I don't think it would even be nice to put Pitchkunov against Glaube, because their levels have so much difference between them.

I agree. We love the idea of Karate vs Karate in K-1, but realistacally lets take it one step at a time before we through him at Glaube.

Pitch KOed te Rangi something horrific with a heel kick to the temple. And dropping Te Rangi for a 10 count is not easy to do,...

I still find this really hard to believe.

Graham landed his rolling thunder flush on the side of Te Rangi's jaw and yet he still beat the count and carried on fighting like it was nothing.

Pola Mataele must have landed 20 straight rights in a row to his head and he didnt go down. The ref stopped the fight while he was standing, still conscious.

I have Pitchounov will be fighting agressive this time, in his previous K-1 bouts he was mostly very aloof.

I think Hori would have potential if he learned some punch defense. Maybe send him to Frankie Lyles for a while?
