7 events looks a little thin for the enormous huge massive K-1.

Final Eliminations in Germany or Vegas? Wouldnt that be the first time FE will be held outside Japan?

It's final qualification tournament
"Final elimination" is "Opening Round" - which will be in Korea, so yes, it will be first time outside Japan :)

2006 best 8 fighters != 2006 WGP finalists?
if yes, who will be out, because 8 finalist+Peter Aerts=9 "finalists"

^^ I called to confirm this tonight so should have an answer about Aerts tomorrow.
The event there called "Final elimination" is not the Eliminations....that means final chance to get in the GP.
The evnt in Korean called Opening Round is what we consider the Eliminations.

This looks very good, would be cool if they could squeeze in another Revenge card though. I like the idea of having a possible event in Germany. There's a huge potential fanbase there + kickboxing isn't near as big in Germany as in Holland/Belgium so the more exposure the better.

I like it and I am excited. I think that going to Hawaii again is a great move because they always have huge crowds there. Part of me is actually rooting for Germany over Vegas. I don't know why, I just do. I guess I feel that they would sell out a bigger venue.

Aerts is one of the 8 finalists, Hoost quit so Aerts can fill his gap.
I think this selection would be great if there were a lot of good fighters to fill the spots. Now it's no more than a legitimate way to ensure that Musashi, Sefo, HMC, Hari etc. will be in the Elims...They are the only fighters left besides the 8 finalists.even more when Abidi and Ignashov (when they are like their old level) can qualify through GP's

Nice Schedule, but I prefer 2 Vegas events because I can drive to them.

As alexey said above, Hoost.
Also, with Pettas and Graham back in the K-1 and Filho rumored to be in talks with Pride, I have doubts about Feitosa getting the OK from Kyokushin to fight in K-1. It looks like the on-again off-again relationship between the K-1 and Kyokushin is off-again.

Pichkunov (Matsui Kyokushin fighter) will fight vs Hori in Yokohama, than i hope Feitosa will fight 2007 GP also.

Hmm. That sounds refreshing. Maybe everyone is acting like adults for once.

He was in the gym hitting bags when Glaube/Sefo and Sato were preparing for the GP.....so it seems like the waters really have been smoothed over.
