Wow... pretty much shocked (positively). If Andy Ologuns win is legit he's really something else, growing this much in such a short period of time. BTW nice to see Direcki KO'd Kraus.

Ologun knocked down Kohi with a right hand counter to a lowkick to get the win in the last round but his leg was injured due to lowkicks so he couldn't continue.
Tatsuji dominated Hayato and Yasuhiro but couldn't quite finish them.
Shishdo got caught trying to spinning backfist move and got knocked down hard instead, not much finishes but alot of knockdowns.
Buakaw pretty much dominated.

I am good with Sato winning. I am also glad that Buakaw was i top form and that Andy looked so good. I am a little shocked by the Murat win, but those Holland guys are so tough that I guess you can't see it past anyone beating anyone anymore.

Actually, Direkci is from Belgium. I knew he was dangerous, but I never expected him to KO Kraus in the first round. Good for him. It's also nice to see Sato come back strong after a few tough losses. How did he KO Tatsuji? Lowkicks?

My bad didn't see the edit, lol.

Your right I just had a mental laps. I just saw the fight and part of me wonders if it could have continued. That was a wicked counter no doubt, but Kraus did get to his feet for three seconds of that count, but I guess with it being the second KD the ref felt there was no choice.

I wouldn't belive Kraus will get KO'ed!! And Andy's win is another surprise for me.

damn good thing there were no odds online cause I would have totally lost money on this (except for predicting that Tatsuji and Sato would win in the quarters)
But Kraus and especially Kohi are surprising. I always thought Andy was a talented fighter and I like his style, but I didn't think he was at the level to fight Kohi yet.

Andy Ologun is the truth.
Sato's KO was awesome and as expected Ozaki can get any crowd on his side with his antics. I picked Direkci to win and I'm glad for him but Kraus looked so dejected and he looks off in most of his fights now. Whenever you write him off though, he bounces back with a strong win so I'm sure he'll be okay.

Not suprised to see Murat Direkci beat Kraus he's a very strong fighter who also fought alot of other "dutch" fighters like Fikri Tjiarti and Drago and did very good against them.
Too bad Kohi lost would have liked too see him fight Sato.

Must say I got surprised when I heard that Kraus lost by KO! But after have seen Direkci´s fantastic fight record with 42 KO of 52 wins I could realize this is a big hitter. And I got sure he is a good hitter after seing the video on fansofk1. Enjoy!

Tatsuji and Sato come strong. I just posted yesterday about Tatsuji being that guy, and Kraus not looking up for some of this young talent. Very excited for Sato to get this victory here also...... ANDY is the story right now. Damn 2 African Americans coach a super bowl and now this? lol I'm just kidding, but that is the story as I'm sure they expected Kohi to get the walk through win. He still has murder written all over his leg kicks. I would like to see Tatsuji in the Max with Sato and Masato. He did not beat Sato, but he posses a different threat. With his boxing skills and stamina.

hey one question though, since Andy had to bow out because of injury isn't it the new rule that Kohi should get the first option for the semifinal spot??

It didn't, but due t having so fucking many spambots you need to reach a certain number of posts before any post you make with a link will automatically show up. Until you reach that number they need to be approved by an admin.

The new rule was specifically for K-1...I believe Tanikawa said at the time he had not decided whether it would be applied to MAX. I guess it wasn't.....or Kohi didn't want to fight again

Dunno about the new rule but they said andy was injured so that meant that Kohi could fight, but he was also injured too, so it left the door open for the reserve fight winner.
I knew Andy wouldn't be able to continue after his first fight. He could hardly stand up on his leg..
And someone said Burks was in good form? I thought the opposite. Actually didn't see the full 3 rds but what I saw looked pretty lacking.

Yeah totaly agree kohi had andy time DOWN but did nothing with it he had a plan to low kick him to a stoppage but once that plan stopped working he never tried anything else and he refused to use his hands.
