In April, there will be the first major K-1 gala in my country. I don't know many things about the card, but Gary Goodridge will fight Daniel Ghita(Gary confirmed). There will also be a tournament and the winner will go to Amsterdam. I'm looking forward to meet Gary(finally).

Gary is a great guy. You will like him. Keep in mind that he goes through a personality shift as the fight day approaches. He gets very quiet. The day after a fight he is pretty chatty.

Sorry o Y o, but I don't know many things about that. Gary just told me that he accepted an offer from Japan and he will fight here. I think this will be a tournament like those in Hungary, Croatia and other countries.

@Felix: Yes, Gary is a great guy indeed. I have never meet him, but we often talk on his chatroom and he is a good friends. I just can't wait to finally meet him.

Or check the last post on this page http://www.k-1usa.net/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=4457&whichpage=2 ...Jazzon is Gary's friend.

So...don't talk if you don't have the info my friend.

It was confirmed by the promoter today for April. I will learn more details tomorrow because I will meet him personally. It will have official K-1 sanction as qualification event for Amsterdam. It seems Vondrachek and Bregy will be also on the card (I don't know exactly if in the tournament or in superfights). Mighty Mo was on some on-and-off talks but finally it seems he will be fighting at another event around the same date and he will be not available.

Promoter Eduard Irimia (Local Kombat circuit). They had 24 events staged till now from autumn 2003.

Isn`t Romania part of Igors territory?

Discussions were held with Bas Boon and a Japanese guy (Daisuke Teraguchi) who had credentials for closing any deal related to the franchise. Igor had anyhow some talks with the promoter since 2005. I don't really know who will be handling the thing by part of FEG.

hmmmm....I dunno....none of my business either. Igor is a great guy though so I just hope he isn't getting screwed somehow. His show in Prague went well and now with Hungary and Croatia on the board he seems to be doing well.

Well Eddie Irimia said there will be some other big names(but he didn't tell me who). It looks like Gary is 100%

Bro, I think that Igor isnt really a promoter but more like a "super-manager"...
He brings like 90% of the guys of the east europe events...and a lots of fighters in shows all over the world!

Agreed, but then the Prague event late last year and this Hungary event were done by him so it seems he is doing both now.

Prague event was organised by Jan Dominec and his team, Igor Yushko is something like "man behind" with all contacts to K-1, fighters contracts, etc.

Yes, he has the rights to that region of the world. Just like Dixon had them for Oceania and Rutz does for Holland etc.
