Damn, anyone else shocked Lindland tapped out Newton? I thought he would win but Newton doesn`t tap too often....the last time was against Saku 9 years ago.

I disagree: Lindland has very good sub skills! And he is a lot more powerful and complete than Newton!
20 wins: 8 by sub! Its 40%, thats great for a wrestler.
Lutter, Fulton, MVA and Leoplodo are good sub win!!!!

About Lindland: I was used to hate him becaue I thought he was boring (+ like Barnett, I just doesnt like to watch him, dont know why!), but he has a lots of credits for improving A LOT, now its not all about wrestling, its also good striking and good sub game, I'm impressed.
Lindland is in the top 3 of this weight class for sure. Look how good he did against an heavier guy, a (former?)top LHW: Rampage.
Now, I just take a look at his record and its a very IMPRESSIVE one!

Lindland is probably one of the three fighters who has improved the most in the past two years.
I don't think I could even name two more.

Sunmitted Lutter, TKO'd Schembri, KO'd Jeremy Horn, tapped out Mike Van Arsdale and Carlos Newton... those are all SOLID wins.

All while coaching a team for the IFL and running his own fight promotion.

Just so this doesn`t become a "boobs hates Lindland" thread, nothing could be further from the truth. I think a quick search will show I have nothing but respect for the guy.....tapping Newton was just a bit of a surprise. I sincerely doubt if there had of been a predictions thread for this many would have picked THAT outcome.

woogie has always been a good fighter. his problem was his dullness. he isnt dull anymore. thats the only issue i had with him. his last few fights have been just that. fights. and good ones at that.

I never really found him dull to be honest. I can think of perhaps 3 boring fights. And I could say that for more or less ANY fighter.
