Rashad's KO over Salmon goes near the top of my list of most brutal KO's!

Yeah Franca is a stud. I was very happy.
As for Heath, I can't believe he still hasn't learned to wrestle. Super tough guy but he should know about the wrestlers in the UFC.
Herman...no comment
Rashad's kick was great. Buddy looked alright after his karate kick but then got tired as hell and I knew it would be an ugly ending. Rashad could have spared him that last shot but it wasn't Yamamoto league.

Wanted Heath to win, but man.... UFC really needs to get takedowns with doing nothing counting for nothing.

Charles McCarthy posted on the UG about the Lister vs Marquardt fight:
It was a great fight. Nate was on fire! He almost finished lister at least 2 different times. Dean was looking sharp off his back and nate for the most part was stalling a standup when he was on top of dean. On the feet which is where most of this fight was I saw Dean get put down probably 5+ times. Was crazy how sharp nate was standing! Best performance by far by nate and its crazy it didnt make TV.
Dean will be back he is a monster.

Herring looked shockingly bad.
although the fact that his opponent had his back so many times and did nothing with it did not make for a very exciting fight.
props to Evans

?
he controlled the fight and imposed his game. he deserved to win wether it was exciting or not.
and heath herring sucks. has for a long time.

I'll buy that. The reason an opponent takes his foe down is so he is in dominant position to hurt him by having more leverage, power, mobility, etc...
If getting the takedown is when you stop fighting, it isn't good for much. If it is just used for defense cause you don't want to get hit...that is terrible.

"he controlled the fight and imposed his game. he deserved to win wether it was exciting or not."
Not saying he didn't get the win. Imposing his "game" is hardly worthy of a fan's ticket price. If taking someone down and doing NOTHING is his game, he has mastered it.

youre talking about fans ticket prices. im talking about the rules. if you take your opponent down and control the fight to where he can do absolutly nothing, then you should win said fight. heath herring has been in the game how long now? he should have pretty much seen this coming and trained for it. but it doesnt seem he did.

I was really disappointed by the O'Brien / Herring fight...
It looked like Herring didn't train one day for that fight. And on the other hand, O'Brien should consider changing his nickname to "The Irish Blanket."
There's no disputing the fact that O'Brien won that fight... but you are gonna earn yourself a bunch of criticism if you win fights in a boring fashion (i.e. Tim Sylvia).

I'm dissapointed about Herring's performance. I thought he will be ready to represent him self but O'Brian controlled the whole fight...
I thought Herring would stop O'Brian with low-kicks but he didn't even try to kick him. Maybe he was afraid of takedowns.
Herring didn't even try to sprawl,I'm very dissapointed. :(
And I hope CroCop and Rampage would have better debut in UFC. :)

I read Joe Rogan posting on the net that from a talk with Herring after the fight, he learned that Herring had a torn MCL, but Herring didn't want to say it after the fight because he didn't want it to sound like an excuse for the fight. But ... it is an explanation to the piss poor performance.

O brian is as boring as Kosceck. I swear he wo the last round without throwing a punch. It sucked because I too wanted Heath to win his debut, but he acted as if he had never been on the ground before. They need to give him a guy like Cabbage to fight. Someone that will throw a punch.

I laughed like an idiot a few minutes into the show when it hit me that on the same event there were men called SALMON and HERRING fighting.
I want to see those two fight in an octagon thats set up in an aquarium somwhere. They can call it Ultimate Fish Night live and I guarantee it'll pull the biggest TV rating of all time.

how much do you think it'd take to convince a certain Croatian tom change his name to Mirko Mackerel?
He could fight Tim Stickleback for the title.

Finally watched this. What is it with some fighters (Heath Herring) coming out with bullshit like this: "I lost because he didn't stand up and fight me like a man!". Forgotten which sport you are in?

Exactly, how DARE Jake O' Brien fight under MMA rules in an MMA match?????!!!!!
Ridiculous.
Funny thing is, Herring's stand-up looked pitiful as wll.
I lost a lot of respect for him due to that post-fight interview.
