CC is always confident :) CC said he would be K1 champ and Pride heavyweight champ not long time ago... nothing happened... I think he has good chances of being UFC champ, but might stop there.

That would be great for the sport and the fans. It's also very interesting that his contract has no time period, unlike it was reported. By his standards, he may need just a year (give or take a month) to fight six times.

Just on a side note. Cro cop and Rampage videos are up on the UFC 67 page. With Pride material and all. So they got the rights to show it in the end.

Mirko and Fedor, just have to fight again. I think that the match between them is nessesary for the purpose of legacy. Mirko will always be the second best MMA heavyweight ever if he doesn't beat Fedor. He needs a victory over him just to be in the arguement.

I wonder if it is just the poor translation then? Both those sources I mentioned are very big selling print media in japan.....not internet interviews. that guy just tries to translate what he can.

It wasn't the poor translation simply because it wasnt translated. Just good old copy/paste. But it does seem that Fort got it wrong, as he thinks it was some sort of internet interview.

As I sad, I wrote in that thread that these were interviews in printed media (in two biggest magazines) and that he should check with Mirko if Mirko did a telefhone interview recently.

Fort is generally polite and tends to answer the questions directed to him.
If something appears there, I'll keep you updated.

He still insists that Mirko did not give that interview(s). He said that it might have been Ken Imai who replied instead of Mirko.
Fort says that "it would not be the first time Ken did it".

Also he confirmed that Mirko indeed hopes to challenge Fjodor (the Pride champ) once he becomes UFC champ.
