The match up was announced for the upcoming MAX event.

Apparently Direkci will be representing Turkey, not that there were any fighters from Belgium in MAX so far. His record according to what was announced is 54 wins (42 KO) and 8 losses. He beat Fikri Tiyarti at the Arena last year and Ray Staring at the Pride and Honor event.

He also lost to Drago a while back. Not sure if he's ready for Kraus, but I think he'll give a good account of himself. Should be an exciting, fast-paced fight.

I saw him fighting a few times and I believe he can go over Kraus,
I would be glad if he could do that cause I want to see new blood at K-1

BTW I hope Direcki kicks Kraus' ass, because I don't like Kraus and think he's a lame fighter.

I am happy for Direcki, but I don't see him beating Kraus. But then again all I remember is Drago running through him for 5 rounds. He could be more developed and have a better shot at beating Kraus.

Wait! hold on! :)

No seriously Direcki was better the first round and also a part of the second but had some sort of injury playing up.

I seriously think that Direcki can win this fight. I haven't seen the fight he had against Staring but I'm seriously impressed with that guy. Beating Tijarti is also impressive.

It's interesting to see how he does against a technical boxer like Kraus...

Direkci is a hard nut to crack. I've seen him against Drago and Drago was the better and more agressive fighter, but Direkci is tough. He fought the fight a few rounds with (a) broken rib(s).

Against Tijarti he looked very good, focused, and well, too be honost, Tijarti gave him the opportunity to look so good. Tijarti fought kamikaze style, too wild, Direkci just picked his moments and finishing it. Staring normally is the better fighter but Direcki just didn't let Staring fight his game. There he impressed me.

So I think Direcki can be a good addition to MAX, and is able to beat Kraus on a good day. This could go either way, allthough I'd still give Kraus a reasonable edge.

(by the way the only thing that troubles me is that Direcki got this chance because he's with It's Showtime, while someone like Chahbari is overlooked- allthough he beat Drago, Direcki, Diender and Gunyar, all fighters who have fought for, or fight for MAX now).
