OK, did anyone else catch this show? Pretty lack luster event overall but 2-3 killer matches.
The one match that is going to stick in my memory for probably the rest of my life is Daichi Fujiwara vs Michihisa Asano (Killer Bee). I personally have a dislike for the latter's gym and was rooting for Fujiwara anyways.
Not only did Fujiwara win, he did it with a sub that would put Chonan's sub on A. Silva to shame. Jump spinning kick -> heel hook -> kneebar from hell and the fight was over in 39 seconds. I wish I could post a gif of this one!! :D
Other noteable fights:
Atsushi Yamamoto vs Masaki Yanagisawa was also a good match with some amazing sub attempts by the latter. Yamamoto of course seemed to want no part of Yanagisawa's ground game and tried to keep the fight standing.
Koji Oishi should feel a lot better after he was demolished by Nick Diaz in UFC 53. He got a 1st rd KO with a punch over winless In Seok Kim.
Mismatch of the month in Condit vs Tatsunori Tanaka, frigging brutal stomps ending a 1-sided fight.
