So far, those pictured plus Mirko are listed as fighting in Man Festival 2

Nog vs Fedor is confirmed, as is Yoshida vs Gardner!

Possibles are Hunt vs Crocop and Sak vs Tamura, but lets not hold our breath

Nogueira looks really pissed off, and Fedor is smiling as usual! :D

You forgot about Henry Miller(Sentoryu), as far as I've read he is also listed as one of the participants.

Nice catch...Sento wil probably be there too.

I want to know who Gomi is facing.

And I`d prefer a Mirko vs Silva or Barnett than vs Hunt at this stage.

I don't like that Giant Silva is there...plz feed him Hunt, he would break his ribs with straight punches.

I don't like the fact that G. Silva is there either... I hope Gomi vs. Buscape happens (things seem to be pointing in that direction).

At this point, I'm mainly interested in:
FEdor/Nog
Sak/?
Gomi/?
Wand/?

I'm a little surprised they're throwing Gardner to the wolves this early. While this should be a huge draw (and obviously with the impending NYE battle with K-1 that's vital) I'm wondering if it's really a good idea. I'd expect Gardner to obviously have great wrestling skills and he's extremely strong but Yoshida is so much more accomplished, and even with his, shall we say, 'raw' striking technique he's a well-rounded fighter.

What's Gardner's profile like in Japan? Is he pretty well known or is this an attempt to get Yoshida a high profile win over a large American with the tagline 'Olympic Gold Medallist'?

With that pose he's pulling, Giant Silva looks like the oldest hip-hopper in town. And while I completely understand people not wanting to see him there, he does have a track record of drawing, er, Giant TV ratings. I dread to think what Hunt could do to him though. That definitely wouldn't be pretty.

That would be brilliant!

I personally think they`ve kind of left the Tamura vs Saku fight way too late for the result to really mean much to anyone other than the two involved.

I`d also like to see Hunt get a fight with smeone other than Mirko.

Mirko vs Silva ( assume Josh will not be ready ) would be a great fight right now, as both have improved alot since their last meeting. full MMA rules as well of course.

Can't say I agree with you about the Sakuraba-Tamura fight. It is definitely LOOOOOOOOOONG overdue as a few years back it could have been a huge fight but it remains as much of a dream match of two past-their-prime greats can ever be and should provide some amazing entertainment. For me, just seeing those two facing off in the ring is a very, very exciting prospect. And as far as generating intrerest and selling tickets, Sakuraba's name is still a very big deal and there is the natural storyline of their shared history in UWF-I to play on as well.

I do totally agree with you about Hunt and Cro Cop though. For some reasdon the idea of those two facing in off in MMA doesn't really do much for me. Logically you'd expect them to simply kickbox each other and if I wanted to watch K-1 fights I'd watch, er, K-1 more.

Oh I agree with that all 100% as far as entertainment, the viewers it will draw, the excitement it will create etc. I just think the outcome, as in who wins and who loses, wont be all that meaningful at this late stage in their careers...or at least not as meaningful as it once would have been.

Still though, it'll be one of the fights I am more interested in on the card, but more for the chance to watch these two go at it than to see who is currently "better"

Ah, I see what you mean.

Yes it is a shame they didn't meet a few years ago. As awesome as it was for Pride to have Sakuraba laying waste to the Gracie clan, just imagine how big it would have been for them to also have Tamura in the mix.

Still, even taking into account some of the other great looking fights I'm still most excited about the possibility of seeing these two go at it. Though that may have something to do with the fact Tamura was always my favourite UWF-I and RINGS wrestler and Saku is by far my favourite fighter.

Who is Fabrizio Werdum?

He Is A Former Brazilian Jiu Jitsu World Champion, He Has Won Many Titles And Is One Of The Top Guys In The Heavyweight Division In Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He Has Amazing Ground Skills And Should To Be Able To Give A Great Fight To Any Heavyweight In Pride. At The Moment He Is Training With Mirko Cro Cop And He Should Have Decent Striking Skills If He Is Training With Cro Cop.

Ah thanks....I knew I had heard the name but couldn't put a background to it. It'll be very interesting to see how he goes in PRIDE. Hopefully much better then Batman.
