The way manhoef disposed of tomihira was just insane .. and the guy is fast so we might see an upset, but it would be smart to put money on JLB :-)

If Jerome is anywhere near the fighterhe was in 2000-2002 he will knock manhoef out within 2 minutes in the first round. Jerome isjust bigger, stronger, better reach, better timing and an overall better fighter...end of discussion. Manhoef wont be able to work his power punches against Jerome since Jeromes reach should enable him to use his shotgun jab and then move in for the kill, though u never know what happends in the ring:)

I think a relatively easy fight for Jerome Le Banner. First of all, people can't compare Tomihira with the likes of Jerome Le Banner.
Manhoef is relatively small guy and compared to a 'giant' like Jerome he'll be in trouble.
I think Jerome's straight right, left combination plus the weight and reach advantage will decrease Manhoefs chances.
Jerome win round 2 TKO, that's what I hope.

Manhoef is too small for JLB. He hits harder than Manhoef, technically better and good enough to avoid flurries of power punches. I don't think Manhoef has anything to offer JLB that he hasn't seen before. JLB would KO him in under 5 minutes.

=))......Jerome will smash him ....it is to good Jerome for Melvin Manhoef.
Melvin Manhoef was make a good impression in his fight against Tomishira ,but here we talk about Jerome Le Banner one of the best and ferocious fighter .
by the way ..my prediction :Jerome by ko/tko round 1 or 2.

Melvin impresed me with his fights in Amsterdam. This won't be an easy fights for Jerome. JLB by decision.

I agree with everyone else. It looks like a good match up, but the size is just to much for Melvin to over come. But if he can get to LeBanner's jaw, he's got a shot.

I like Iron Leg technically, but it doesn't seem like he can take much of a punch, which makes JLB a very bad match up for him. I think Melvin could potentially give JLB the run for the money because he is ver explosive and fast.

And what abour Gary "smiler" Turner?
The fight have been cancelled, but I'm sure many people would still like to see it.

Turner has a very solid chin. His single knockdown before the rematch with Bregy (even thatone a flash-kd) was from Mike Mac's hook when they fought for the WKA title. Turner took punishment from guys like Ustinov&Bregy, and gave them hell before they won. I think JLB will eventually outbox him but it can be a hell of a fight.

Surviving Ustinov is a feat in itself, that guy is so powerful and dangerous its scary.
Although I would pick Jerome, I think a lot of you are underestimating Melvin.

It is a great style match up, but the size difference takes a lot away from the excitement......not to mention if Melvin is continuing a more MMA training style.

As stated by some already, Jerome is just too big for Melvin.

Manhoef is extremly explosive. But like said previously he is vary small, he is not a natural HW. Simon said that he will be at 95 kg for this fight ( if it happens).
So first of all, I would u guys to remenber that at CR, Cyborg almost KO'ed Manhoef! So its not like the guys can take an incredible amount of punishement....
Then there is the size question.
But manhoef is very skilled, very agressive and fucking explosive, so I bet he can KOed everybody including JLB, now if he take one or two punches, it will be a different story.

Yeah, Manhoef is very explosive, but beating Tomihira is one thing, lasting a round with JLB is quite another. I would have liked to have see Melvin fight Iggy in the Europe tournament as a sort of litmus test, but of course his injury prevented that from happening.

Totally agree mate, totally agree.
I would never count Melvin out but damn, going up against one of the very best ever is when you're giving up weight and experience is... well, I sure as hell would not do it.
