Go to View, Encoding and click whatever seems like Japanese may show...then copy it over...if that doesn't work then write the names in English and send them in.

Sefo-Aerts is a good matchup, their last meeting was controversial, so this will be an occasion to finish business, they both diserve a spot.

I want to see Mahomed Magamedov against Mus.

Yeah, that would rock!
I hope we will see him next year in the GP, i loved his action in Scandinavia. Fast, aggressiv and a lot of MT skill (and he seems to be really funny :) )

Hey he will likely be in the second reserve fight if he is picked. And to be honest Id rather see him fighting than a lot of other people (Choi, Akebono, Goodridge etc). And there are many interesting matchups with him (excluding Sefo because thats just way too early and because Sefo needs to fight Aerts!) such as him vs Slowinski. That would be a real battle of the Muay Thai guys.

Hari has earned nothing in 2006. Sure he is a good fighter but there are guys like Ming Soo Kim who actually won a fight this year.

I hope they bring Hari to fight on the card, but let's be honest. He shouldn't be in one of the reserve fights.

ah ah ah don't you have worst fighter ? He is horrible to see fighting, as much as akebono, in a different style...
I hate Hari's behaviour but I'd prefer 1000 times him to Min soo Kim

I'm sure you were kidding

I wasn't suggesting that K-1 select Min Soo Kim. I was saying that Kim achieved more than Hari this year hence Hari's failure to possibly push Sefo, Aerts, Mori or Choi out of one of the two reserve spots.

If we are talking about Hari getting an undercard spot outside the reserve bouts, I'm cool with that.

Sadly, the K-1 can pick anyone they want and merit has very little to do with the decision.

I only want Hari to see fight, if he gets KTFO'd again:D. And this time against Abidi:D

Amen to that. Those are pretty strong points.

My opinion is that there's nothing wrong in K1 working to build Hari's career, they have sensed good potential in him and they always have and probably always will have their "selected few" environment, outside the random, normal circuit.

I have nothing agaisnt seeing him in the superfights slots, but in no sane sports organization would he, with his current record and performances, get a place over guys like Magomedov for example, who has WON a tournement.

K-1 isn't going to let their circuit be ruled by destiny anytime soon, but it's hard to criticise them when we become natural with the way they do things, and only complain there's favouritism when it's not our favourite fighters who are getting the nod.

Yeah thats right.

I think K-1 is milking Hari for all hes worth while his presence in K-1 is new and before his persona wears off, because I can see no reason why they rush so much to have him fight when he is still young. He hasnt fought any build up matches yet, seems he has been chucked into the deep end of the pool.

Well, it is pretty obvious that Hari is on contract with a minimum # of fights.

( o Y o )
11th October 2006, 04:47 AM
LOL....a day or two before the event if it is not some big names.

I would think they'll bleed what press they can from HERO's, then as that cools off some names may be made public but I would doubt any specific match ups.

You think they'll have one or two reserve matches?

I'm expecting two (one for a group, one for b group) and a superfight.

CentralKickboxing.Org
11th October 2006, 06:20 AM
Two, definately two. In 2002, one reserve fight allowed Ernesto back into the tournament. They would like to reduce the chances of that ever happening again.

It would be a first to divide it by group a or b though. I think they will stick to the priority system they have now. Which is:
- Winner of reserve bout 1 gets first replacement priority to semifinal.
- winner of reserve bout 2 gets second replacement priority to semifinal.
- Loser of quarter final gets third replacement priority to semifinal.

Prioity is in order of fighters dropping out. If say the bout 2 fighter is tentiatively still in the tournament when the bout 4 fighter drops out, the reserve 1 fighter will replace the bout 4 fighter and the reserve 2 will replace the bout 2 fighter. Priority is not in order of tournament schedule.

( o Y o )
11th October 2006, 06:39 AM
true, but last years second reserve fight to replace a first reserve fighter not going in was a bit of a messy answer I think. Plus if they have two big names in seperate fights in increases the chance of getting a GP winner they can work with.

CentralKickboxing.Org
11th October 2006, 07:24 AM
Messy? What do you mean?

( o Y o )
11th October 2006, 07:27 AM
Well, as I recall it Glaube vs Gary was the reserve fight. If the winner of that fight could not go on, the winner of the second reserve fight took their place (Hari?). If that fighter could not go on, the loser (JLB in this case) could go on.

Now, if that happened this year and K-1 said Hari vs Choi is the first reserve spot and Ray vs Aerts is the second, I for one would be extremely pissed.

CentralKickboxing.Org
11th October 2006, 08:58 AM
OK but who is to say the Block A and Block B system would work either? What if bout 1 and bout 2 winners both need replacements? One would get a reserve fighter and the other a QF loser.

( o Y o )
11th October 2006, 09:26 PM
In the case of either A or B block reserve winner not being able to continue, the winner of the other reserve spot should get the nod before the loser IMO.

On another note, I wonder if K-1 have made their choice? The vote seems to now be closed.
