Do you agree with the decision?
How did you score the fight and the extra round in particulary?
(only reply if you watched it carefully)

Choy did lesser than he did with Schilt - that is, "push-punches" and some slap-punches. The knees didn't really connect. Jerome did not hurt him too bad but at least connected clean. No need for x-tra imo.

By the way, Jerome will earn a special prize : "best movie role switcher" - he was deffinitely Asterix against Obelix now and not the opposite :) :) :)

I hate to say it but Choi was the winner.

How do you justify that? Choi didn't do shit in round 1 and barely did anyhting in round 3. Round 2 is the only round that could be considered close because he almost landed a real knee. Most of Choi's punches were either blocked or slipped. Jerome landed 2-3 times the amount of strikes and the leg kicks were definitely affecting Choi in the 3rd and 4th round(not mention his leg was all purple).

Good analysis imo. Considering the circumstances I was happy with JLB's performance. I was hoping for more, but considering JLB looked like a midget and was jet lagged not bad at all...

Disagree, I think JLB won the fight... it was a close and competitive fight to be sure though.
I also disagree with posts like BEEF's reply to you (message #6). Someone reading that would think JLB dominated the fight, which is false IMO.

Choi put a up a good fight, especially in rounds 2 and 4 ... one should have been on ringside to score this because JLB's attack didn't visibly seem inflict much if at all damage on Choi. On the other hand, there was blood running from Le banners nose ... one should have been there to hear the "Smack!" s...
JLB did great ducking/weaving/bobbing movement and Choi needs to improve his accuracy against moving targets; but Choi seemed to have practiced his leading leg front kick, it was quite snappy and on target at times ... his stamina has improved and overall balance ...
On account of clean hits I'm happy with this "lifetime awarded" win for JLB
PS compare Choi's perfomance against JLB with Sapp's in that special 4 round match.

I love JLB as much as u guys, and I know Choi is not all that popular, I'm just being fair, if anyone had a slight edge in the fight it was Choi. During several exchanges Choi was the more aggressive fighter, and the cleanest punch of the entire match was landed by Choi.

No, you're not being fair. The only way you could give this fight to Choi would be by ignoring the dozens of lowkicks that landed on Choi's thighs. You could make an argument for Choi winning the extra round, by there's no way he was the agressive/dominant fighter during the previous three.

it was a close fight ,but i think Jerome score a lot with low kick's,but yes Choi fought very good and he's improve a lot ,but after 3 rounds Jerome was the winner ...no extra rounds.
the extra rounds was equal ...,but Jerome strategy was good ,unexpected...i was thinking that he will rush in Choi ....but ...he was smart ...and was very good for him.

Nobody in this fight was "dominant" that's why the result is debatable. I think by a slight margin Choi won, and I've spoken with some others who happen to agree. It was pretty even.

I am sure you will agree that Choi lost the first round. He did nothing in that round zip..... The second round could be considered close, so lets give that Choi for arguments sake. In the third round Choi slowed down again and LeBanner nearly blocked and slipped most of the punches. Overall he landed at least 2x the shots of Choi. That round would have to go JLB to. In my book that makes the fight 29-28.
The 4th round could be debated, but since Choi didn't cause major damage I would give that round again to Jerome due to landing a lot more shots again. To me punches have to land before I count them.

After three rounds I had Jerome leading by a point. The extra round was likely to Choi as he was more agressive here.
But Jerome definately won the fight after the first three rounds, Choi didnt do much of anything really except the rare punch and a few knees in the second round. Compare that to Jerome who pressured with punches to the head and body and the constant low kicks.

But then at the end of that round choi was fine, while JLB was bleeding. That means shit to us, but K-1 judges tend to take it into consideration when judging a loss to someone they'd rather not have there.

blood is nothing regarding internal damages, I know what I'm talking about ;)
The sun can make you blood the nose !!!!
A damaged muscle or bone, due to low kicks, is much more important to my eyes.
But we all know that japanese referees have a very special and "local" way of judging, right ?

I think JLB was bleeding after rd 2 yet!
And as u may know, JLB has a bleeding nose at 90 % of his fights....

I'm curious, how can a judge see internal injuries like a damage muscle or bone? :hmmm:  The bruising on Choi's legs just indicates damaged cappillaries (sp?), and by some accounts he was walking fine with zero difficulty after the fight.

Well that was a close fight.
I can understand u guys seeing Choi winning the ER. And after all when the Draw is declared, its the ER that does count!
I just thought that it was a close round and that probably more JLB hits did connect (even without any damage, if its not block, it scores points). If you looks good most of the Choi punches didnt really connect.
In the fight JLB scored more points imho.
Even if its something like: 20 clean kicks and 5 clean punches for Jerome
5 clean kicks and 10 clean punches for Choi
I still give the fight to Jerome.
I give one pont dec to JLB before the ER. And the ER is pretty even....
fuck, lol, I dont know what to think anymore! I'm just happy that JLB won.

Completely agree. At the end of the day though even though JLB hammered Choi's leg big time, he didn't limp on it so I think for the casual fan a bloody nose "looks" more damaging.

I think that is pretty accurate.
I guess at the end of the day Choi has reached the point of being something like an animated version of Bregy or Semmy. A big guy with skills (no, not as much skill I know) that will be a push-over for noone.

thats a point...+ the 20 clear low kicks effective or not did scored points! Choi didnt scored 20 clear hit....most of his punches did connected.
BTW the spirit of the warriors allow the victory to JLB. End of the thread!
