Two things that floored me:

Musashi got tooled and lost to Challid, and Jerome looked like....small isn't the right word.... like a dwarf perhaps. The difference in size was surreal considerring Jerome is a big man. Choi is a monster... I have to give Choi credit though because his skills are definitely increasing with every fight.

Credit also to Jerome for still fighting and making the best of a shitty situaton.

JLB looked fit. Good style again, pretty sharp but it was very hard for him (or anyone ) to overcome the reach of Choi. He's like a building. It was a close fight, I though JLB would have gotten the decision after 3 r, but there was an extra. The extra round was ... Choi was more "busy".

Golden Glory did an outstanding tactical job. All guys made it through.

Hoost looked terrible. His kicks are good, but reflexes too slow. Retire please and don't fight Sapp.

I haven't seen the fight, but from the comments Lebanner-Choi seemed very close.
I'll wait for ( o Y o )'s comments.

was close ,but is hard to fight with this Goliat ,Jerome seeem like a dwarf...but Jerome was more agressiv and he's low kick's seem to disturb Choi.by the way ..i'm very glad that Jerome won ,....was a honest decision.

Choi stepped into the ring against Bonjasky, Schilt and LeBanner and didn't go down once, he deserves some props.

Though I'm still glad LeBanner advanced.

Props to both of them anyway, Choi for offering better and better performance, and JLB for fighting with bad conditions.
Still it's interesting to see Choi is never even close to get down.

It's just very hard to come close to him and you have to if you want to hit him. He's just waiting to counter an incoming move and then he uses his punches to hit you or his knees inside.. I think JLB did very well inside, he kept moving his head, looking what Choi was doing, he also escaped a deadly knee in the first. His size compared to his opponent makes it possible he can knee them easily in the face. I have pitty with the next opponent of Choi.

That's what I meant. Choi has the size advantage and seems to know how to use it intelligently.
And he's still improving,

I wonder what his k-1 future might be.

did anyone notice that Sefo was being very passive in his fight with Leko. was there something wrong with him?

I was hoping to hear that he looked good and had a chance at winning the GP. I know it's a long shot but I'd still like to see him win it. And then retire.

Oh yeah... WAR CHALLID!!!! I was hoping he would pull it off. He is quickly becoming one of my favorites. He has a lot of heart, but unfortunately lacks too much size...

Man BIIIIIG ups to Gary, he never turns down a fight, even against someone like Remy on very short notice. Major props to him, he's got some huge nuts. I gained even more respect for him in a losing effort than I do many fighters in a winning one.

Whoa, maybe we saw it with different eyes, but today's Hoost reminded a lot the good old Hoost, everything was there except the true power in the punch combos. He did MANY dodge-lowkicks that required incredible reflexes and timing. He looked much more powerful than in 2004, when he did his last true run for the title. I don't know why we disagree, but I think today's Hoost is in great shape, specially considering his age.

I wonder who the 'weak' one is in the 8 finalists. The one everyone would want to pick for a easy first fight. Hoost? Has his age made him the least capable fighter of this batch? Hmmmm.

I'd say Karaev. He never really proved he was able to hold his own against the heavy hitters yet. Challid too for the lack of experience.
