Betting on UFC [Archive]

Yep, the gamblers of Kakutougi unite! I´m going to try online betting for the first time with UFC 51. They are giving some good odds for Tanner etc. so I decided to lay down some money. 30 euros isn´t that much, but hey at least I will get started.

Sylvia has to be the favorite. Arlovskis chin is questionable, and I don´t see him taking Sylvia down right of the bat. Tanner has a nice odd, and is highly experienced. Baroni is a clear favorite also, but I would like to know how his training has been going. And the smart money would be on Ortiz since Belfort did no land shot on Couture during their fight.

What about you guys, are you going to bet, how much and on who?

Im gonna bet on Pride, never tried it before but it adds so much more when you watch it, dont Tanner have very good odds? bet on him is a good idea i think, and Arlovski and Ortiz

I´m going to wait right until they release the weigh-in pictures, because those really say a lot about how everyone have been training.

Yeah, I`m interested how you did and I'm also kicking myself for NOT betting. Also interested WHO you bet with.....hope it was MMABets ;-)

Yeah, sure...MMABets.

I got some of the upsets right, but my biggest bet got heelhooked, so no rent-money. The odd was something like 150 with my ticket, so I was really amped until the Sylvia fight. I´m really happy about the fact that I went with Tanner, Kyle and Buentello and those came out as the right choices.

Still I got my own money back with smaller bets.

ah hell, how could you bet on sylvia? i knew he was going to get subbed. arlovski is a monster....a very good well rounded monster. oh well though, glas to hear you didnt lose any money. good choice picking tanner. i would have made that the big bet since he was the underdog, and wrongfully so.

man i was saying that before the fight. just not on these forums. arlovski was gonna win that fight all the way. same with Tanner. both were steals in my eyes. both of them are far more well rounded and experianced. i just wish i had some god damned money to place some bets. damn student loans...
