I forgot almost all names, but what i remember:
Dimitry Shakuta & Imro Main against Thais - fight from Holland
some fights from Superleague qualification 11.12.2004
Vitaly Akhramenko vs Mladen Brestovac from Prague - Heaven Or Hell gala (f.e. Jorgen Kruth fought there this year, in past years Albert Kraus, Pajunsuk, Leonard Sithpolek...)
KO O The Month:
Jasmin Becirovic vs Patrik Junger
Junger was totally exhausted and slams himself to the ring after right direct...
last fight was CHAROENLAP vs some french guy
First fight was Shakuta vs thai and it was absolutely best fight of Figh Club magazine. All other fights really crap after it...

Did the Thai-fighter KO Shakuta? I have seen some Shakuta's fight where he was KO'ed badly. Shakuta is a decent fighter.

Well it was't exaclty against a thai, it was for a world title in thai boxing, the current being a holland fighter (black guy, forgot the name) under 76 kilos I think. The fight was sick, Shakuta was in trouble a few times due to a early knee on the liver that almost got him, but he endured and continued to dominate the fight from beginning to end, lots of nice combos and some pretty good elbows that almost KOed the guy. He won the title and Bonjasky was there to give it to him. He's fantastic and I hope to see him on Superleague more often. By the way, if it was in holland, props for the judges - there were times Shakuta was in trouble and in the last few seconds he was being temporarily dominated. That would surely be enough to award the home buy the decision, but the judges didn't forget the whole fight when Dimitry was much better and much more effective, and made a fair decision. ;)

If I remember correct, Shakuta KO'ed Joeri Mesi at some Superleague event. I'd like to see more russian and belorussian fighters at Superleague.

I meant the KO in the second fight, where a Thai fighter much shorter than his opponent, got KTFO by a huge knee to the face. The one who koed him was from Holland.

Props to Will Vanders. Even tho he can be annoying as hell, I think he`s the main reason we get to see stuff like this on eurosport.

Dave means:
Shakuta fought Aschwin Balrak. Balrak started out well the first two rounds and had Shakuta in real trouble in the second after that Balrak got tired, Shakuta too but he kept on going better than Balrak and Shakuta earned the decision well...
Imro Main fought Rambojew. A short heavy built thai vs a tall and slim Dutchman. Main was dominating but the Thai was a stiff opponent until Main hit Rambojew with a knee on the chin in the second or third round. It was a very hard KO.

yeah, and Shakuta vs Balrak was WPKL title fight. But one curious thing was - elbows. I don't remember WPKL fight with elbows...

WPKL was one of the first in europe to bring full MT rules...i think usuall their MT fights - with MT fighters are with elbows!!!
When was The Shok in real trouble?? Balrak scored some in the last 30secs of the 2round but got pwnd during the previous 2.30mins of that round, Balrak got totally outclassed and outpointed and wasnt doing shit for the main part of the fight. i never saw Shakuta in any real trouble...

DAMN, and when was Imro Main dominating??!! under MT rules Ramboj outscored him with those low-and middlekicks, Main basically did no damage until this quick ko with that long knee happened.
i heard a lot about Main, him being a good fighter, but it seemed to me like he wins with his mainly unorthodox style which is difficult to read, i mean, it looked like he had no gameplan at all, his style reminded me of chaos...if the fight wouldve gotten on as it was going i wouldve had Ramobj as the winner by points or a ko via lowkicks, Main was allready limping slightly at times, and that was in the 3round...Imro was hitting a lot of air and guard, too...

Amron - true, Balrak was completely outclassed by Shakuta, he did score some nice low kicks and some punches here and there, but nothing compared to the technical beating Shakuta was giving him, and he finished the fight very gassed, hurt and dizzy. But if you watch closely, there's a knee out of nowhere that gets Shakuta flush in the lower belly, you can clearly see he was got by surprise and he then tries very hard to protect himself while he recovers (that was for a few seconds, as it was in the end of the 2nd or 3rd round).
Then Shakuta continues to dominate and score big low kicks and some nasty elbows, but in the very end of the fight you can see Balrak regaining some focus and he goes consciously with a big hook in Shakuta's lower belly, that hurts him again and forces him to be defensive in a very delicate time of the fight, the last few seconds. hoppefuly the judges weren't impressed with those few good moments from the champion and gave the title for the clearly better fighter.
I only referred this because in k1 Japan, if Balrak was japannese, only surviving Shakuta would give him the win, add the few seconds Shakuta was hurt adn it would be more than enough to award him a unanimous decision. ;) I'm sarcastic but it's true, just look at Masato and Musashi.
The judges made the right and fair decision, there was a title at stake, it was very important they did their job right, and they did. Unbiased, professional judging seems very rare today, even in Superleague sometimes.

Oh, and I really enjoyed Vitaly Akhramenko's fight. This guy has a solid, very developed skill, he is calm and cold, picks his strikes very well, and has the right physique for K1. I see him going much further than where he is now, fighting in lower tournements, he just seems to need to loosen up, be more agressive and don't be so afraid to get "dirty" in the fights. He often assumes that Filho atitude of never, ever allowing any hit to land, add that to his tendency to give the opponent lots of space and time while he chooses his next attacks, and you get a fighter that has great potential, but looses too much important fights by decision (to inferior opponents - the two fights with Kruth, even though he clearly won the last one, but it was in Sweden...). He had the croatian limping already in the second, but gave him lots of time to recover and distract him...

Oh, and I really enjoyed Vitaly Akhramenko's fight.
Yeah, Vitalij is great fighter...
He fought 2 times in Czech republic in 2004 and has one fight in Slovak Republic.
his first fight was 25.10.2004 on Heaven Or Hell gala against Hungarian Tihamer Brunner. Vitalij was disappointed about his performance, because Hungarian fighter is defense master and berlarus was unable to find useful weapon... Andrej Gridin (Vitalij's and Ignashov's trainer) was little pissed off, because Akhramenko didn't listen his advices... But Vitalij promised a better performance when he comes again
his second fight was 19.12.2004 on Heaven Or Hell gala again and you saw it on Eurosport. He was really suprised about Mladen Brestovac and said "This Chroatians dind't fall" :)
Vitalij fought in Slovakia 30.10.2004 against Christophe Caron from France and it was very short fight. He throws 3 lowkicks. After the first one Caron closed eyes in pain, after second was counted, but on 8 he can stand up, after third was over. It was about 30 seconds :)
Vitalij fought 3 times Jorgen Kruth and 3 times lost this fight. He said on Jorgen "So what. He's good" :)

Thanks for that. I do remember reading somthing about the Caron fight, I guess this proves the tv commentator here in Portugal wrong when said the only thing Vitaly really lacked was power on his strikes. Although he said that in a way to compliment Akhramenko, I guess he actually needs to be more relaxed on the ring - guys like Badr Hari fight very well mostly because they have huge inner confidence and a lot of boldness to try unexpected things.
I consider Vitaly even better than Gur, I think he has more tools to go a bigger distance in K1 (but then again, Sergei has exactly what I'm talking about - great fighting spirit, huge heart and is always all over the opponent, which makes him win fights he probably should loose in normal conditions (height and weight disadvantages), like against Venetiaan).

I'm with that, absolutely.
Sergej Gur fought in 2004 in Slovakia too and I was a little disappointed about him. He increased his weight - he was over 100kg, chubby... He fought Roman Kupcak from Slovakia (fought on K-1 Scandinavia 2004) and Roman 2 rounds owned him, but in thir was Roman totaly winded and after end bell he was unable to stand up, so the judges gave fight to Sergej.
I like these Belarus fighters, but everyone is missing something to be real champion...
