Well, I consider Palling to be a 143 lb fighter regardless of the weight they fought at...and all of his big wins are over 143 lb fighters (aside from Olaf...)

I agree that Melendez should be the favorite because you would think he'd be the better wrestler, and Melendez has great GNP. With that said, I think Obiya is the better striker (although he's giving up height/reach), and Takaya stopped pretty much all of Melendez' takedown attempts (Takaya does have a great sprawl though)... Obiya has shown good wrestling in his matches so perhaps that will even out a little.

I think this is a much closer fight than what the odds suggest and even put down some money on Obiya, of course if Melendez gets an early takedown and Obiya can't get back to his feet, maybe it won't look that way....

Kang, Swick and Liddell are all on my "do not bet against" list, although I will bet on both Filho and Kang if there's a tournament winner parlay at Pinnacle.

Thats what I chose to do with Kang this time and it worked. What is that for him now in his last three fights....a tap out from pounding, a KO and a tap out from submission. Next round is going to be tough for all though.

Hmm I bet against Kang unfortunately, and its just too obvious how much hes improving from every match - A great fighter. After UFC 62 and Bushido 12 I went 1 dollar back / can take that. I won money on Misaki beating Hendo (was just waiting for that one - I knew he would lose sometime soon) and Aoki beating Black both were around +350-400 so I made a good deal of money there. Unfortunately I bet my largest amount on Babalu which didnt turn out well and then also lost to Kang, Ishida and Mach. Though the Ishida fight (and +780) would have made me a good profit. But back to back -1dollar is quite ok.

And next round will be even tougher. Im picking Kang ftw.
