A couple of years ago, stuff got crazy with Tyson when he signed with K-1 and it pretty much destroyed another forums stand up section.

So, as with each series of TUF shows, lets keep all the Tyson crap in one thread as I am sure there will be much (false??) news surrounding him.

First bit.....probably fighting for PRIDE in China...possibly against Mirko or Hunt.

Iron Mike in his prime was devastating but Tyson now is just a plain Mike... Mike was the best boxer in history imo and he should have had more glory, but what can you do if you are a screw up in your personal life?

I don`t see him `being a force against top MMA fighters. He just takes his paycheck and that`s it. Most probably the fight(s) won`t even happen...

But...Who knows what would happen if this fight were ever to happen? With someone like Tyson in the ring.....anything is possible.

Also...Tyson's a spaz...can't imagine taking him down could be that easy. And this would be one fight where Hunt can't afford to rely on having a hard head to carry him through the fight.

For starters, Tyson will do some exhibition boxing matches. He won't be fighting dangerous people like Hunt. Also, Tyson has sucked for many years.

If Kevin McBride can beat Tyson then Hunt will just murder him. Not that they will EVER fight. Kevin McBride is one of the most awful boxers I've ever seen. Hunt can take a shot and won't back down. Tyson is a bully with no stamina. Hunt would fuck him up.

Tyson is so over the hill he can't even remember the hill even being in existence. He's essentially a casino greeter right now and the deal is that he'll be training live for about an hour a day, which will actually be a heavy schedule by his standards.

I remember him being scared to fight even Sapp under K-1 rules, because he insisted on fighting under boxing rules - and Sapp couldn't even throw a lowkick back then. So naturally it makes no sense to me if he fought mma rules because for a boxer mma should be harder to fight than stand-up.

Besides, even under boxing only rules I just can't comprehend the thought of Hunt losing to Tyson. Sure, in Tysons prime he would have beaten Hunt clearly on points (knocking OUT Hunt is impossible in my opinion). If Mirko's left highkick hits you as clean as possible and you stand up smiling 3 seconds later you are immune to getting KO'd, because I simply can't imagine any punch in the world being stronger than a decent highkick - let alone CC's left.

Yeah, even if we agreed upon the claim that Hunt cannot be knocked out, its not the only way to stop a fight. Body shots are the first to come to mind. Few K-1 fighters come close to boxers in body shots.

The first one knocked him down because it likely cut the circulation off from his brain (due to hitting the side of the neck) for an instant and that caused him to faint. He still got back up straight away.

Now what is really amazing is the head kick Hunt sustained in his pride fight vs Mirko. That was full power to the head and connected clean.
