I haven`t seen the final fight yet, so wont comment yet. I`m surprised no one started a thread about the event though.
Anyway, what did you guys think?

Diego was impressive. I thought Karo would have ground it out but Diego showed he can weather tough moments against a tough opponent.
I want Diego vs BJ or Diego vs loser of Hughes / St Pierre.
Leben's KO of Santiago was brutal was brutal, but Santiago had his damn hand on his hip. Leben fought him the same way he fought Silva.
Oh yeah, how about Sasaaki's submission defense? Absolutely astounding!

Diego vs Karo was probably fight of the year thus far imo. It went back and forth but Diego had the better condition that night and he showed it in the third round, beautiful judo throws by Karo, Diego landed on his head a couple of times. Great fight.

Diego by cardio. Karo seemed like he had gotten even better with the throws.
Leben by lucky punch (ala Sylvia vs Arlovski 2) (just kidding...or not). Anyway Santiago landed two punches straight on Leben's face before Leben got him.
Sasaki was impressive but Lister still had the better ground game. I just don't get how they both got so gassed although the fight seemed quite slow paced.

Sasaaki may have lost, but I hope they invite him back.
When he stood up with 30 seconds to go in round 2 and started clocking Lister I was really surprised
(Although not as surprises as Lister was!!)
It could have actually gone either way in round 3, but lister clearly
took rounds 1 and 2 with all of his submission attempts.

Dean Lister - magic on the mat but everybody knows it. Standup is bad and wassup with his shoots? Arms stretched out, facing floor and running like a zombie! The explosive & timed takedowns? Kickboxing? Kicks and knees and punches? Where? T'is a boring fight. The Bogey Man could make like a ghost and disappear or train mixed martial arts instead of BJJ. Take a page of Josh Koscheck's book, train weaknesses. Josh's standup was good!
Sanchez & Karo. Don't wanna but gotta give kudos to Sanchez. He fights like a hungry dog. Somebody gotta stop him before I become a fan! I don't wanna be a fan of the Nightmare but dunno how long I can fight it!

Diego vs Karo was best fight on the card. It lived up to the hype. The crowd didnt boo as much, which made it a better show.
Is it me, or when Diego fights, the atmosphere of the show becomes alot like pro wrestling?
i think this ufn was the best one yet. but i really did like the last one. when leben got ko'd. :)

I feel the same way. It hurts to say it but Diego has earned my respect...he is a really great fighter even if I think he is a strange dude.

Oh yeah, Koschek looked good and Goulet is done unfortunately.
Sasaki looked good in a losing cause. Hope he comes back.
Leben looked bad in a winnig cause if that is possible. He showed that he didn't learn to keep his hands up. He still blocks punches with his head...a bit more power from Santiago and he'd have been KOd again. The book is out on him...luckily he has the special head but I think Franklin and even Loiseau could have hurt him right away...Anderson Silva style.

Really good fights, Diego vs Karo is a candidate for fight of the year. Koscheck looked great aswell, hopefully we will see more of his skills soon, but damn I hate his hair so much, get a haircut or something!
Leben, his KO was nice, but his stand-up is horrible..he has great power, but he won't come close beating a techniqal stand-up fighter, it will be Silva all over again.
Riggs molested Von Flue to, great take-down and toyed with him on the mat..
