The 19th of February two WMC (World Muay Thai Council) world title fights will take place in Sweden together with a third WMC-fight and the swedish IFMA amateur championship finals.

The professional matches are under traditional Muay Thai rules (knees, elbows and clinch allowed) and are:

JÖRGEN KRUTH (SWE) vs SERGEI GUR (BLR):
Last year Kruth won the WMC world super heavyweight title from Paul Slowinski in a really exciting fight. Now the time has come for the big swede to defend his title against Sergei Gur, teammate of Alexy Ignashov.

JOMHOD KIATADISAK (FIN) vs ARSLAN MAGOMEDOV (RUS):
The legendary thai fighter Jomhod (nowadays based in Finland) now gets the chance to defend his WMC world middleweight title against the great russian fighter Arslan Magomedov, who beat John Wayne Parr in K-1 Max.

LARRY LINDWALL (SWE) vs TBA:
Larry Lindwall is a two times K-1 Scandinavia champion and is a very entertaining fighter.

The event will take place the 19th of February in Solnahallen, Stockholm, Sweden.

Information (in swedish only) can be found here (http://www.vbc.se) and for those of you who feel like travelling tickets can be bought here (http://shop.k-1.se).

I think this card is quite interesting and it's really fun that the sport has grown so much in popularity in Sweden that it is possible to have these kind of fights here (Sweden is a small country).

I look forward to the fights.

I know, they have recently changed Magomedovs opponent to Jomhod due to contract problems with Laursen. Information (in swedish) about the change can be found here (http://www.vbc.se/news/05-01-20-2/index.html).

The fight between Laursen and Magomedov wasn't going to be a title fight but since Magomedov is first contender to the middleweight title and Jomhod replaced Laursen, it became a title fight.

Some info: Finnish WMC World Champion Petri Martinez was going to fight Ole Laursen under K-1 Max rules on this card. Martinez had to retrieve, because of his work schedule. The winner of the Laursen/Martinez-fight was supposed to fight Buakew later this year.

Larry Lindwall unfortunately has become injured so the third professional fight will be:

CHAROENLAP (FRA/THA) vs JIRI ZAK (CZ)
Charoenlap is a merited Muay-Thai fighter with over 185 matches. He has been ranked 2 in Rajadamnern stadium and as number 4 in Lumpini. He will fight Jiri Zak who is a two-time WMC world champion. This will not be a title bout.

I really like Lindwalls style of fighting so I became a bit dissapointed when I saw that he was injured, but this fight really looks interesting.

Chanlunlap is a really entertaining fighter, and I hope the fight is under MT fules, and not shitty K-1. His elbows are great, as are his knees and the whole clinch game. He has fought twice in Finland, and both times he was definately the most entertaining fighter.
