Ishida is Awesome than a moth%$#@! I've watched him for a while now and he is the man to beat. He has a few issues though..... 1st all of us vertically challenged guys are susceptable to reach. Submissions are more difficult to keep away.... but he is well rounded and if Shaolin barely did it and Aurellio could not..... yeah there's a f....in problem HOUSTON! Ishida jsut climbed up the ranks for me. Exciting and vicious.

He reminded me of Fedor when he was in Mino's guard in their first fight. Both seemed very confident in throwing down with their ground and pound, despite being deep in the guard of very skilled BJJ submission artists. Both Fedor and Ishida projected a subtle confidence to those watching, that they knew what they were doing, and were not in any danger of being submitted.

I remember thinking to myself it was as if they knew something everyone didn't, considering under normal circumstances throwing down with a degree of what appeared to be "reckless abondon", you would think it would be only a matter of time before Maximus or Mino would catch them in a tight triangle or armbar....or omaplata in Nogs case. Yet neither came to close in either situation.

Yeah his ground and pound was ferocious just like that he is so one gear too. He is just not intimidated and will impose his will. He needs to improve his striking and it will be tough to beat him.... he has a Mike Tyson ora around him
