Wow, Manhoef could be tough unless Sakuraba gets him down. Penn and Sakuraba would be a tremendous fight.

Penn vs Saku would be good. i know Penn gets sleepy sometimes during his fights. hopefully Saku would keep him active, or sub him. probly would goto decision though. hard fight to call especially since Saku is old and broken and Penn can seem unmotivated at times.

vs Manhoef i dont even know what to say. Saku gets him down its over. but if Manhoef lands something, he could hurt Saku. he has fast powerful hands.

Sak vs. Penn sounds nice but the weight difference would suck. Penn should realize that his home is 75kg not 85kg.
Against Melvin single leg, kimura done in 30 seconds of work or he gets brutally kod.

Against Melvin, he needs to get fight to the ground and it's over...

Short and sweet analysis.

I really, really hope they don't put him in there with Manhoef though.

I have to say I don't like this. Now it has nothing to do with the match ups becuase we all know that they are great. But if this is a GP then I wouldn't want any of these matches to happen so early in the tourny. I knew that Both Penn and Melvin would be in the field but I would like to see these guys fight each other later in the field.

The Penn fight in particular could be special. I have said that I got Melvin winning the GP so I will stick with that pick no matter who he faces.

i would love to see Manhoef obliterate Penn with some punches to the face. better make sure that TD is upto par though if he has to fight him.

I hope this fight does not happen at all. I hope Saku just fights some sub-par opponents, entertains everyone and shows off his subs. Everytime Saku loses, I get the image of a poor little hungry puppy dog or kitten freezing in the rain ... and gets kicked by some heartless brute; it moves me to tears. And I've kicked quite a bit of dogs and cats BTW :P

Nah, I'd be excited for this fight pre-Wanderlei, but now I want Saku just to have some time off....I guess.

Actually I think he has a good chance to submit Manhoef. But a fight with Penn would be far more interesting.
Anyways as much as I think Saku has earned his retirement I'd still like to see him against someone as skilled as Penn (and not having a weight disadvantage).

ats a pretty bad match up if it happens as if Man lands, saku is out for a year or close to it. BJ vs Sak is good and relatively risk free. I wanna see it!
