Chute Boxe's leader Rudimar Fedrigo has revealed that two more Chute Boxers will be in the PRIDE ring soon.
Fedrigo announced that Chute Boxe wildman Evangelista "Cyborg" Santos will fight later this year in PRIDE. The 28 year old Santos, known for his hyper-aggressive style of fighting, has impressed PRIDE representatives in English sister promotion Cage Rage, where earlier this year Santos put on an exciting bout with K-1 competitor Melvin Manhoef. Including the loss to Manhoef, Santos, who has nearly a decade of experience in the ring, has won six of his last seven fights. Fedrigo has said that Santos' contract is for three fights, and that he will likely fight at 93 kilograms alongside teammates Wanderlei Silva and Mauricio Rua, but that "Cyborg" May competed as a heavyweight as well.
Also, Fedrigo announced the contract status of up and coming Chute Boxe 83 kilogram fighter Daniel Acacio. The former luta livre practicioner Acacio boasts a 2-1 record in PRIDE, losing his last bout in September to Japanese veteran Akihiro Gono of GRABAKA. Fedrigo says that Acacio is now healthy and training, his contract has been renewed and that while he will not compete in the upcoming PRIDE Welterweight Grand Prix on June 4th, Acacio will compete at the next Bushido event on August 26th from the Rainbow Hall in Nagoya, Japan.
