Wild Beast eh?

Sounds like a fun match up, but it is no where near as good as Wandy vs Mirko would be.

Wild beast? I guess that stemmed from Kaz' fights against Sapp and Thompson. Ironhead would be more appropriate methinks.

Man, thats not a bad matchup at all.

Not bad, but it could get real boring if Fuji lnp's on Silva after gassing in the opening round.

Wild beast ?!?
For a moment I thought Sapp was in :-)

Anyway, I don't like this. I wanted to see Fuijta-Hunt.
But, as somebody already said it, I'll enjoy this round no matter how they match 'em up.

knock out Fujita? No one has ever done that....and he has been hit by some serious punches in the past.

shall i link you to the drunks thread? some of the things you type on here just really make me say wow.

what would be cool is if fujita choked silva same way monson did hinkle. i would really love that. if silva wins it will be a dec because he is not going to knock him out.

well, fujita vs Wanderlei was one of my predicted matchups before it was known that Wanderlei wouldn't appear in round one.

I think DSE is pondering this matchup simply because now they have a japanese fighter who might be able to actually beat Wanderlei. (Yoshida was close.)

It would be an awesome fight! and probably a bloody one at that.

For me, Fujita is "Pumpkin Head Gorilla Iron Beer Gut, slayer of bulls and dragons." That just pops to my mind when I see him.

Wild Beast? Anyway Wand cannot KO Fujita but could win a decision. Decent matchup imo.

Wild Beast???
Speculation on a Fujita vs. Silva match up will either be affirmed or denied sometime over the next week
I wouldn't be suprised to see Silva facing Japanies opponent.

Fujita needs to put on weight again. His style is kind of impotent now he looks like a LHW.

bwhahahahahahaha. Now that's a funny damned post.

I think Fujita would have a 30-40% chance of winning. Underdog definitely, but an exciting match.

This matchup would favor Silva, IMO. Fujita had a hard time with Thompson in his last fight. He wasn't able to get the takedown, because of Thompson's size and sprawl. Wandy has a good sprawl and faster hands and knees than Thompson. Could be a dangerous fight for Fujita.

I agree. Not only that, but he needs to add more to his striking. He's got a mean right hand. If he could get a stiff left jab and some bothersome strong low kicks to go with it, he would find more openings for the right hand.
