I always hear bout best this or best that, so lets hear about the worst.
Do you vote for #10 where Hoost lost to Sapp, got lucky with Sapp breaking his hand, got lucky with Holm being injured, got lucky with Sefo's injury, got lucky with Hunt breaking Lebanners arm, and became the champ.
Or do you vote for #12 where Musashi lost to Sefo, Remy lost to Hoost, Remy lost to Botha, Musashi lost to Remy in regulation time, Musashi lost to Remy after one extra round, and finally Remy was crowned champ after a second extra round?

No way is 10 the worst, Le Banner/Hunt and Hoost/Sapp are great fights, Aerts/Sefo, Le Banner/Musashi, and the final fight are good as well.
I personally think 11 is the worst.

#11 is the worst quality GP I think. My point was more as in the shittiest way for the champ to be the champ though.

With all due respect to Hoost, I think losing the qualifier and losing the opening match only to take home the belt/crown/cheque is pretty hard to beat.

Most disappointing was 2000. Bernardo and LeBanner in brackets that wouldve most probably (at that stage in their careers) had them face eachother in the Finals. Both pulled out due to injuries thus causing the GP to lose something special. Couldve been a legendary GP in my opinion.
Ray was a good last minute substitute. But it didnt make up for what 'couldve' been.

I want to puke each time I hear about this 2002 GP....
So Holm was the reserve fighter and was hurts? Didnt knew that, a this time I was only interested by the superstars ;)
BTW its a shame a fighter who has been TKOed is able to fight again in the same night.

I also vote for 2000. The K-1 set up that world qualifying series to have 2 of the 3 champs not even participate. Hug died and it was just a gloomy time to be a fan. Add to that that Aerts finally beat Abidi and Cyril got the winner's cheque because he got in the ring with Sefo. Only two knockouts on the whole card, both thanks to Sefo.
Over all, just stale and gloomy. It really needed Stevie Wonder to play the american anthem on the harmonica.

yeah 2000, was rather boring.... And how can you not love 2002? Plenty of Action, great fights, Hoost vs Sapp II was one of the most interesting fights maybe ever, Hunt/Lebanner was great, Leko/Hunt was cool, and the final wasn't bad, and a lot of people I know became lifetime K-1 fans after the 2002 WGP.

I quite enjoyed 2000. Sure, some fighters were missing, but those that reached the finals earnt there way there.

I didnt like 11 or 12. 13 was decent. I liked many of the old ones.

Yeah if Jerome did not loose at less than 1 minute from the title, it would have been a very very good GP!
-----> Sapp the freak beating a K1 super star, JLB-Hunt was one of the top 20 fight of K1 history, what a battle with JLB getting KD at the very end of the fiht and finally JLB would have get his belt!
Instead of that it was the most dramatic things of JLB career.....so unlucky!

I'll go with this one:
#12 where Musashi lost to Sefo, Remy lost to Hoost, Remy lost to Botha, Musashi lost to Remy in regulation time, Musashi lost to Remy after one extra round, and finally Remy was crowned champ after a second extra round?

The only good thing about that Grand Prix was the kick Kaoklai landed on Mo. It was also a bad thing as it spawned legions of annoying Kaoklai fan-boys on Sherdog and beyond.

I agree about the damn Kaoklai fans, but I will gie the worst GP to 10. It was like fate determined the winner more so then the fighters. It teh first time when you can truly say that Hoost did nothing wrong and Hoost did nothing right.

Seems I need to highlight this point once more.

You guys can say anything you want about the Kaoklai fans but that kick that KTFO Mo was a work of art. LOL
I like the little fella.

I think Musashi also lost to Kaoklai.
That one would probably be definitely the worst if not for the Kaoklai KO on Mo which is like said a work of art.
