Randy Couture: A Career Retrospect
Randy Couture is the only UFC fighter to win championship titles in two different weight divisions. He accomplished this feat as both a heavyweight and a light heavyweight. During his distinguished MMA career, Couture constantly overcame the odds, all while earning the nickname “Captain America.” At an age in which most athletes are considered to be in the twilight of their career, Couture’s light shown brightly. He did more after 40 than most athletes do in their 20’s. On February 4th of 2006, Randy Couture retired from his competitive fighting career with the respect, integrity, and humble attitude for which he was always known.
Randy and I recently discussed many aspects of his career that have been left “unasked” by others. This career retrospect offers a look into the defining career of one of MMA’s true fighting legends.
