I think they will market Rampage exactly the way he wants, he can make some money on this deal..and I think by fightíng in the states, he will make more fame and perhaps one day fight in the UFC. Right now Ir eally think signing for WFA was a great idea.

That is a great card! I have high hopes for this promotion, great with Lyoto, Rampage and Mayhem. We might even see Rutten/Kimo. On PPV also.

Maybe a Rampage/Lyoto showdown later on :-)

I hope the WFA can compete with the UFC, I hate the way Dana White and his staff run the organization.

WFA needs to show Lyoto vs Franklin as prehype for his fight on that PPV. best thing WFA can do is make sure everybody knows its Rich Franklin that Lyoto was pwning. that way anybody that actually does watch this ppv can be like "hey these guys got someone that shit all over UFC's champ!" if they can do this shit it can work. but i mean, they need to sign more talent unless we wanna see Rampage beat down bums all day after this. they gonna have to catch peoples eye and get more fighters in peoples spotlight. good job on a first card, just hopefully they didnt bust their nut putting it together.

Does anyone know who the Public Relations person/point of contact is for the WFA?

IŽd pay the up and comers and young ones a lot better. It feels like we see new faces every other show (not in a positive way), because none of them can afford training enough to compete with the best over a longer period of time. I know its a business and some fighters draw the crowd etc etc but I would any time lower some of the fighters payoffs to build a more solid ground and by that create a bigger foundation for new stars to rise within.

I think Dana has done a smashing job with the UFC.
As a fan, my attitude towards new organizations is always a bit negative, because more firms eventually lead to fewer match-ups. If WFA becomes a force, we could end up with 3 champions, 3 belts and no unification bouts. Of course these events give up-and-comers a change to fight more frequently and possibly in bigger fights.

THat's EXACTLY what they need to do. Everybody seems to think California ias the promised land for MMA but without featuring big name local stars (Frank Shamrock & Cesar Gracie in San Jose) or a big brand name like UFC its very difficult to draw a good crowd.
Lindland vs. Van arsdale drew about 1500 in San Diego and thats less than Cage Rage and Cage Warriors draw on every single show and also much less than Hook n Shoot can pull in Evansville Indiana with nothing but local fighters.
Obviously Rampage-Lindland needs to be the most pushed fight but after that it needs to be Machida and they have to heavily advertise him as the only man to ever beat UFC MW champ Rich Franklin, and yes, if they can get the footage they should play it endlessly in the pre hype. But the really important thing is toget it on the PPV channels ads for coming attractions and hype the Franklin win on the posters and print advertising.
Come to think of it, 'Burger King' has a win over Arlovski and also beat Randy Couture so they should push that as well. And obviously there's Jackson's win over Liddell. It won't matter so much that hardcore fans know the context of those fights andf how they have changed. Casual fans, and they're the ones they need to be a success, know who Franklin, Liddell, arlovski and Couture are.

"A lot better" is a vague term. How much more would you pay them?

sorry, this doesn't get me excited at all.
Rampage seem to have had his killer instinct beaten out of him by Wanderlei!
He's just not the same fighter anymore...

I hear you on Rampage, but as a whole this is a very solid card. And the fact there are so many new MMA orgs popping up with med to decent cards on is nothing but exciting.

WOW!! great card!
While I'm not all that crazy about the Ramp vs Lind fight, some of the other fights look damn good.
Ricco vs Waterman should be pretty good. I'm wondering how that fight will go. Both good, big, ground fighters. Will be interesting matchup.
Also, the Machida/Vernon fight will be a good one for sure. Both aggressive strikers. Lyoto coming off a recent win. Vernon could give him some problems.

I think Rampage vs Lindland will end up rather boring, but the card itself looks fucking great. I just hope they have the cash to keep this stuff happening.
