Just came across an interesting part on his homepage:
(He was at K-1 Las Vegas to try-out, along with three other fighters, for a few days and show in what condition and shape he is in. He did very well and the Japanese K-1 staff wanted him for TV etc.)
"The Japanese asked me if I could cut to 85kg and fight against one of their biggest stars/the biggest star in K1 in Japan in august. I said that I could as Ive been cutting in wrestling all my life, eventhough 8kg is quite much... they would be thrilled to see a Japanese star take out a world champion in wrestling. Its now up them so come up with a proposition".
He would sure have his hands full with an opponent like Sakuraba, and probably get submitted. Itīs still quite a big thing if he got that fight, it would be a big boost for the sport of MMA here in Sweden. And hes a completely different wrestler compared to Randleman for example. And if hes hungry he could cause anyone problem on the mat. We will know how well he can perform the 20th of may.
Who else could they be referring to?
