OK for fun, try and place the 8 you think or hope will be in it. By the way does anyone have a date for it?
Do you think they will put the same guys as always in it or not since it was the same in April (not that that has stopped them before)?
Carter Williams - always there.
Badr Hari - I hope
Gary Goodridge - US tourny fixture
Peter Graham - will he finaly get some love?
ok..... curious to hear who you think/hpe will be in it.

I would like to see Pat Berry, Lighty, Gokan Saki, Carter, Hari, McDonald, Ustinov, and Nordstrand. I wouldn't mind seeing Cooper, but the game may have passed him.

Badr and Peter should be in there for sure. Gary deserves it he always puts on a show. Maybe a super fight as it's hard for some of these guys to contend with him

Good point about Abidi Anjew, will his injury be gone by then?

If so he would make a great adition. As for pitchkounov whats he like? Ive never seen any of his fifghts since he is usually fighting as a reserve.

Neither have I (Pitch), but I guess he's not bad if they keep giving him the reserve fight chances... ;)

I hope Abidi can make it til August and we can see him brawling with Hari... :D

I just hope they don't match Carter with Fuji anymore... Seriously, Leko should be there!

Pitchkunov is an ok fighter, lots of Knockdown karate techiques but he seriously lacks power.

we have some other offers for August so we'll have to wait and see.
some MMA promoters have offered some amazing deals, seems to be where the market is.

Damn straight. Jeff is a far too often overlooked talent.

Well, Gary Goodridge is gonna be there for sure.

I`d like to see Botha try winning a tournament, maybe try and earn all the attention he`s been getting for free.

Scott Lighty should be there - Goodridge needs someone to beat on.

I think Ignashov should get another chance as well Hari and Graham.

Fuji could also be in the mix and maybe let Naoufal have another crack at it.

So:

Gary Goodridge vs Fujimoto
Badr Hari vs Scott Lighty
Alexey Ignashov vs Iron Leg
Peter Graham vs Frans Botha

Kruth needs to be in it, match him up with Badr Hari in the quarter finals, should make for a really fun matchup...

Dewey, Gary, Lighty, and that usual crew probably for sure + a jap fighter. Pitchkounov probably, and I know that Pat Barry more than likely will not be in it.

Gokan Saki absolutly dying on the worst left i have ever seen thrown against Bregy, has made me lose any interested i had for him.

Gotta have Fujimoto and Nakasako in there. What is up with Japanese fighters in the US qualifying tournament anyway? Doesn't a fighter have to be a resident of Japan to compete in K-1 Japan GP?

I don't want to sound Jingoistic, just wondering

I want to see Saki and Iron Leg again. These two know how to strike, but got "unlucky" so far taking strikes. Lets see what these two really have...

What about Dynamite?
We dont know if JLB is still a K1 fighter.....
We just wait to know what the japanese will tell to us.
Honestly, I will be very sad if JLB has to move out from K1, but its not up to me.

At the K-1 Scandinavia Bruce Buffer mentioned that the tournament champion is set for the August World Grand Prix. So Magomed Magomedov seems to be already set.

He also said that it will be on the 13th or 14th of august (if i understood him right) and that its Las Vegas again.

I'd take Mago being in the GP with a grain of salt at this stage as the show tends to be made up of people they had hoped would qualify, or are going to sell tickets. I guess if there is a spot left after that, he will be in.

Gary Goodridge stated on his website`s forum that he will probably fight in Vegas come August too...though I don`t know if it`s gonna be in the tournament or in a superfight. Either way...Big Daddy`s always fun to have around and his fights are among the most entertaining.

I really hope he will be in! His performance in Stockholm was great...I'm curious to see more of him. He is really fighting the same way as Iggy :)

He is a bit smaller and a bit lighter but he really has earned a chance to get into the World Grand Prix! I'm sure he can keep up with some more competitive guys! Let's see...

Im very keen to see him fight, I have seen his brother fight and other fighters from the same gym such as Ramazan Ramazanov and they have impressed me very much. They are fit, foccused fighters that have a strong Thai style with impressive conditioning.
